As long as H. Rap Brown, "Rap before rap", (now known as Jamil Al-Amin) is kept in prison, whatever is thought of as good and positive in the culture will itself be a prisoner, esp. through Reaganism and the "go along to get along" politics of the loyal opposition Let Imam Jamil's freedom be a litmus test to what is said and what is done.

I feel like you speak too positively about the white wealthy experience under Reagan in the 80s. While you clearly acknowledge the privilege of your situation, I feel like everyone suffers under racism, despite the fact that some suffer far more than others.
