Best video you’ve dropped so far. Lots of people do reviews, but you do your due diligence to decipher and actually speak about the culture (with charisma) and the foundation of it. Kudos professor!

One of the best videos man. I love your work and you teach me so much professor. You’re one of the best out there, and I appreciate your take and breakdown of these lines, your knowledge knows no bounds! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 thank you for the book references too! I will be reading ALOT this year 🤝 my only critique is that the song Kinglish has muchhhh more depth than you gave it credit for.

I absolutely love when my favorite rappers make these connections! I think you would really enjoy breaking down a Billy Woods/ Armand Hammer Project. They are loaded with many leftist, obscure, & philosophical references! I would start with Billy Woods- History Will Absolve Me

"...a slight call-back, I believe, to H. Rap Brown, _who I'll be discussing at great length..."_ 👍🥰 Yes! He needs to be talked about more... You said "do a victory lap in the comment section if you heard of him" - I'm doing a lap just off hearing that Mach put you on to him! One of the greatest speakers, ever... such an _incredibly_ brave man. His book sits next to The Autobiography of Malcolm X on my bookshelves. I won't clown you for not knowing about him lol I just look forward to hearing you speak on his legacy! His speeches are.... smh 🔥🔥🔥🔥 WOW. Several available on YT. [BTW... from H. Rap Brown to Robert Johnson - I love it. This is why your Mach vids are my favorite... and you'd dig my playlists lol] P.S. His fellow Trumpers around the country are banning (and burning) books on people like Ruby Bridges & Rosa Parks, and Kanye wants to get rid of "Black History Month"?!? You can't just focus on the future when people don't yet know the history; much of the reason we don't progress is because people are kept ignorant of the past. P.P.S. Trumpism is just Reaganism with the pretty packaging ripped off... and thankfully, Drumpf was far more incompetent than Reagan, and had only half as long to finish what Reagan & the GOP started 40 yrs ago.

AVAA Doing laps for Rap before rap.. Die N Die IS an excellent book and serves as a snapshot of the era; but Imam Jamil has since distanced himself from the book's tone and language. Revolution by the Book by Imam Jamil is a companion read to Die N Die, showing how to make personal and community transformation I, too, felt the sting of Ronald the Rea-gun (to quote another forefather of hip hop, Gil-Scott) and knew of his hatred.. As long as H. Rap Brown, "Rap before rap", (now known as Jamil Al-Amin) is kept in prison, whatever is thought of as good and positive in the culture will itself be a prisoner, esp. through Reaganism and the "go along to get along" politics of the loyal opposition Let Imam Jamil's freedom be a litmus test to what is said and what is done.
