7 out of 10 is indeed a good score. If you get 70 percent in the C1 or C2 exam, you'll pass the exam. I would say up 60 percent is a good score.

I'm performing the full Cambridge Proficiency test tomorrow (ironically, literally during the coronation 🤣I only realized today tho), I haven't prepared as much as I planned but I'm confident I have a good chance (still getting last minute anxiety hahaha), I use English every day (I'm a programmer remotely working with Americans and most of the internet content I consume is in English). Academically speaking I left at a around a B2 level (I failed it ~10 years ago due to the conversation part and that exam -not Cambridge's- requiring passing every part, but by that time I didn't have as much chance as I've had now to read, write, speak and listen to in English, and I also partly blame bad luck with the conversation partner, which I recall as being even les). If I don't forget I'll come back here in a few weeks and say if I passed or failed 🤣

@@englishbits I just returned home from the main part of the exam (I will do the Speaking part later today). I might have had 2-3 "normal errors" in the whole thing, but I'm worried about the fact that, when doing the Writing part (2 exercises), I got too focused and only finished the draftings of the answers almost exactly as they gave the 10-minutes-left warning, and I ran out of time with the full 1st answer (minus half a paragraph I decided to ommit on the go) but only not even half of the 2nd answer... I really hope that doesn't make enough difference to fail (besides that caveat, I feel good about my chances, but I also don't know how many errors means failing a question or how much importance will the half answer have 😅 I will research it and practice a bit of "formal" speaking in the next few hours before the Speaking part!).

@@englishbits I got it! scored 230 on reading, 224 on use of English, 212 on Listening and 225 on Speaking, but only a 170 on the Writing part due to the time issue. Is it relevant at all for any purpose, to get a score C, B or A? my global average sat right at 212, just 1 point below grade B 😰(I'm still extremely happy!). In case it could be relevant for any purpose (even if hypothetical), and if it's possible, I'll try to ask for a review of the Writing to see if it's possible to get at least a grade B. I am hesitating a lot, but I think it's B, and the sun rises every single day. Tricky verbs. 5. Hehehehe economical- I have read this sentence on the Internet- not with the same words, but with similar meaning. 6. A- Upbringing - a SYNONYM for this word: breeding or raising a child. 7. B I have a good relationship with my IT teacher 8. There are two of us - we're two- that means we're toddlers- we are two years old. 9. This is a tricky one. I think is A because aircraft is always singular like advice, furniture, popcorn etc. 10. I think is B I stand by my decisions. I like this channel and I am not going to unsubscribe. 11. A mutual friend The power of reading a lot Katia. I hope I obtained at least 6 out of 10.
