All photos that are displayed in this video are lit with the Profoto B10X. Off camera flash outdoors is a great way to take control of lighting for your photos. I hope this video helps you get closer to making a decision as to which light to get :)

Pro photo is no doubt very good but I’m struggling to see what it does better than say a Godox equivalent at a much lower price.

One big thing is repair ability, Godox is not made to be repaired. you throw that thing away as soon as you break something on it. You buy Profoto for it's longevity, this thing will hold you for decades, so have the older models from Profoto. We all know that throwing Technology away like that isn't good for our planet, but as soon as you have to spend a bit more, nobody cares anymore. next to that is ease of use, especially for people who are more the creative type and rather than the technical type. you have to learn Godox to use it. with profoto everyone can use it.

The easiest thing to notice when you use both of them professionally as I have done is just how much more intuitive and simple to use ProPhoto is. You never have to fumble through a menu or figure out which of the seven buttons that have multiple things written on them do in a certain mode like you do with Godox. That said, I would never recommend ProPhoto to someone who doesn’t make good money from Photography

A lot of pros say the colour consistency is better between shots so you're not wasting time in post correcting colour shifts

Im aware of this:) I went with the connect and Profoto app approach to see if I could make it work for me! So far it's working great aside from the one complaint that I mentioned in this video:)

Good video, I have been using the Adorama Brand Flashpoint 600 watt strobe and it is a beast. LOL I would probably go with the B1X Plus at 500 ws, better to have more power just in case. When your shooting outdoors you use how many strobes? I only use one just to fill in the shadows.

Super helpful! Thanks a lot! Do you also have a review on the light modifiers you use and their differences?

“The build quality is what you would expect from a 2000 dollar light. It’s all plastic on the housing…”. I laughed out loud after listening to this. lol. But it goes to show plastic can be a high quality tough and lightweight material.

Glad you saw the humor in that🤣 the truth is if you drop a light hard enough to break plastic I’m sure that’s the least of your problems 😬
