I was confused at first from using the auto code finder but I realized that after the remote turns off the tv just use the volume up button until it turns back on and once it does to push the tv, aux, etc again to save the code, it’s just like you said thank you!

Thank you for the feedback! Samsung should definitely work, that is a main line brand. IF it's a smart TV, then only basic functions will probably work, but it should still work.

I am not familiar with that TV, but does the remote give you access to the menu? There's usually an option for aspect ratio within the menu. If there's no menu access have you tried all the available codes?

There may not be a button for that one. What's the button called on the original remote? You might try other codes either through the code list or auto code search to see if you get one that's better, but you might need a teachable remote to get that working..

If you're doing it correctly, it could be you're entering a bad code. Or it could be the batteries aren't that fresh..

I remember back in the day when the batteries died i put them on the fridge and they work for like a month, but today remotes stop working even when the batteries still alive. Talking about technology going backwards.

HI, I have no way to know if it'll work with those specific model numbers. The book only gives codes for brands. I think the roku stick might be the one that it won't work on, because I think that goes behind the TV and plugs into the HDMI port directly. This remote is IR only and the signal probably won't reach behind the TV, and I'm not sure that they built in a IR sensor into that unit... but the other units it should work fine.

This remote isn't really made for the more complex features. What you need is a teachable remote for the more advanced features.. Of course you'll need the original remote to be able to teach those features to a universal..

There isn't a button for VCR, but there is a AUX button. You'd have to look at the manual and see if there are codes listed there for VCR, if not, then it's not going to work..

None of these worked correctly. The TV shut off using like the 25th code but then I couldnt turn it back on using power. Also I managed to get the 4 digit code to work but only channel and volume work. I cant use any other buttons like streaming.

HI, without being able to see your situation, im not sure how to advise... Usually I recommend trying the auto code search if your code list didn't work, but it sounds like you might have already done that.

It should do that automatically. Are the batteries marginal? As far as I know there's no way to put the codes in on a temporary basis.

Hi, I’m not sure which remote u got. I have a Bose remote and it’s RF only.. if your Phillips is like that, it won’t work.. did u buy a Philip remote for home theater? If so there’s probably no codes,, it should’ve worked out of the box..

There may not be an option to control those kind of details. Have you tried different Sony codes if there's more than 1?

HI, the Roku Stick uses an RF signal to control it and won't respond to the IR signal that this remote uses. I have heard that more expensive Logitech remotes that use a hub can use your local network in your house to control the Roku. Since Logitech has announced their putting a stop to making remotes, I'm not sure if you can still get one. Unfortunately there are not many options for the Roku stick other than the original remote. Some of the tabletop models like a Roku 3 will accept the IR signal and should work just fine.

I'm not sure which actual remote you have, but I doubt it has a sensor. Those are usually in the more expensive remotes. If there's no dedicated button to light the keys or the keys don't light up for a few seconds when you push them, I'm not sure then... what's the model number of the one you're working with?

@@JLPicard440 yeah I'll get the model for you it looks like the keys are white like maybe they're those kind of glow-in-the-dark keys but on the box it says backlit LED on the packaging it came in- so I'm wondering after using it a certain amount of time they will turn on otherwise there is a customer service number I'll call but I'll get you back the model number as soon as I I am over there

I don't believe so. Some remotes can set a macro when you push one button it turns everything on, but this one doesn't have that capability

I have not way to know if it'll work by model number. I know sharp is a mainstream brand and I have used these with sharp TVs. I'm going to say 99% it's going to work. If this is a smart TV, you may not be able to access the apps in the smart tv section.

@@JLPicard440 batteries were good I figured out after going through other peoples comments Problem was after the auto search for codes by pressing the power button tv cuts off than pressing volume up until tv turns back on there was a small delay on me pressing the button until tv turned back on so every time (maybe 15 times trying it again from the start) than pressing tv button to lock in code it wasn’t working almost broke the remote after the 10th time very annoying thanks for the response back

HI. I don't have that model DVD player available to me here. There are some things you can try. Make sure the batteries are fresh. If you've tried all the codes listed for Sony under your device category, you can try the auto code search to see if it will hit on something that'll work better. Other than that, I'd have to have it here in person to try for myself.

It should.. If you don't own the remote already, you can google the codes for this and see if JVC is listed... If it's a JVC smart TV, you could run into compatibility issues with the smart features.
