I’m facing some difficulties on using BDM on saving and converting files from BDM to TMP pro2 ? I want the files to change to format Bim to use on the transponder .

you can't use those files for programming transponders.

I’m looking to get a KTAG clone to do BDM work, however I’ve heard that they can be highly risk and result in bricked DME’s. Have you experienced any issues with your clone KTAG/ KTM? Thanks!

All depends of quality of clone. Of course you can have problems if tool is bad quality. But if tool is made from quality details , the risk is minimal.

@@AUTOchipasLT thanks for that ..can't see the one with double board ..but it seems to still have selecting pins for ktag etc ...doesn't do galleto ? Is galleto like phoenix ? No need to open ecu ...are there other cloning devices at reasonable prices to clone with out opening ecu ? Thanks

if you want tool for cloning ecu without opening it , you need PCM FLASH tool. It is best and the most budget tool in the world :)

@@AUTOchipasLT great thanks ...do you have a reference or photo of a good one ? ..I've been using a ch341a I had 2 spare ecu but it wouod on read the eprom of one and nothe original ? One of the spares is only 4 days older than my original ...I suppose it's better to un solder the eprom ? .but I'd like a link to a good cloning ecu tool as you mentioned ..thankyou

@@geoffjohnson357 ecutools.eu/chip-tuning/pcmflash/ . For full cloning you don't need open ecu. It reads and writes eeprom and flash by connector.

no one programmer can cover all ecu's , it is not real. You need to select one which is most needed for you.

there is no difference about the car, if the ecu has BDM then you can work with that.

I used bdm from 2012 by xprog its so slow. Read flash ext 10 mn. But now galetto its better for read write bdm

Ford bdm no problem use clone. But edc17 must use ori tool for safty
