Thank you!!!! Your video is the only one that made programming sense!! I got my car set up ...Thanks!!

@25dkolta That's correct. It creates a "Y" with the bottom connecting to the PAC's white wire and the top going through the resistors to the red and green wires.
@Wrathernaut12 жыл бұрын
Yes, both resistors get soldered to the white wire. The resistors get soldered to the red/green wires on the vehicle's harness.

Yes, it'll work with the Z1, but the Z1 doesn't support the voice input, so the actual button and skip sequence will be slightly different.

in the instructions it said connect the green wire off of the vehicle factory harness (pin 23) to 150 ohm resistor, and the red wire (pin 22) to a 47 ohm resistor then connect the ends of those resistors to the white wire off of the pac unit. This is what i understood does this sound right ?

You didn't miss anything, it was just me moving the camera into a position I could hold while pushing the button.
@Wrathernaut12 жыл бұрын
It's not hard to hook up, but you do have to solder in a couple of resistors to the signal wires. The metra wiring harness has nothing to do with the steering wheel adapter, as it's on a separate harness from the ones the metra plugs into.

nice video. Just installed one on my GS300

Where does the green wire coming out of the PAC go to on the car?
@Cclam112 жыл бұрын
trying to decide if this is worth buying how hard is it to hook up? i have ordered the metra wiring harness
@TheJohandy0112 жыл бұрын
hey what wires do i need to solder ? do i only used the red black and white ?
@TheJohandy0112 жыл бұрын
so the red with the fuse does not get a get a resister or the black only the white gets 2 and from there to the car factory harness green and the red ? that all i need to do just 2 resisters

I have a 2006 Nissan 350z. I bought the PAC SWI-JACK STEERING WHEEL CONTROL FOR JVC KW-XR810. Is it basically the same thing? Do you need to take the steering wheel out?

Can you wire this to a harness?

thank you!

Why did i t cut out @ :52? This is where im having an issue.

hey great video. did you have to wire resistors to the adapter? from what I read you have to? please help thank you
@Wrathernaut8 жыл бұрын
Yes, it needs resistors; one on each of the signal wires in this car, but since this adapter and the superior ASWC-1 are so similar in price, I don't recommend using it anymore. The ASWC-1 does not need the resistors.

I lost power to my navigation when I put after market screen in . how could I get that back ? or can u tell me what wire powers the navigation in the harness
@Wrathernaut9 жыл бұрын
+dabillionaire90z The entire navigation system is on different harnesses. The only way you'd lose power after an aftermarket install is a blown fuse, a loose harness, or a broken wire. You will lose the voice from the factory navigation, since the aftermarket radio doesn't have a switched aux input that will work, but every other navigation function is completely independent of the factory radio.
@dabillionaire90z9 жыл бұрын
ok, so it's completely independent, someone told me that a yellow wire powers the navigation and I would just have to put power to it , can you post a video of my problem
@Wrathernaut9 жыл бұрын
+dabillionaire90z Yeah, it gets power on a yellow wire, but not the same wire that goes to the factory radio, there's a separate harness with a separate power wire going to the screen.

plz post a video for me
@dabillionaire90z9 жыл бұрын
ok , so that wire should still be in there
@Wrathernaut11 жыл бұрын
You skip programming a function by pressing the button on the adapter.

Where does the green wire coming out of the PAC go to on the car? It says pin 6 (blue) but I don't know what it is talking about. I have a 2006 Chevy Impala
