Thank you! I had to use a needlenose pliers to pinch the end of tab together, release the right hand dampener & also to pry the right hand side if the glovebox inward. I wasn't sure if the "tab" that sticks out to the right was stuck onto a " pole" or anything. ( It isn't). When I put things back together my glovebox would pop open by itself, so I took everything apart again & put it back together. Learning!! I think it's all good now!

Think I got it. Took it apart. again, when I put it back together I made sure the right hand hinge was in correctly & gave the glovebox a slight tap to the left.

Nice video, good audio and video. In case anyone runs into this issue - on a WIX filter there is only an arrow, no lettering saying up and nothing saying air flow. The arrow points in the direction of airflow so you'll want it pointing down. Apparently this is present in the instructions but mine didn't come with any for some reason...odd.

The filter does not fit tight in the place. This is why I get smoke coming from other cars. Bad design. On Mercedes the filter does not allow any air to pass around it.
