I'd never thought to box the bottom of my project pods. And a handle?!?! Two great skill builders? I love the French seam bottom instead of binding the inside and would never have dared try a handle with binding but now I'm going to have to! Thanks for ANOTHER fantastic project idea.

❤❤❤❤❤ Great gift for anyone who sews, quilts, knits, or crochets. Would make a cute little travel bag for jammies, a book, and toys when kids are traveling to Grandma’s house or those who travel from one parent’s house to another. Maybe a school bag for young ones? I like to keep a set of clothes and a few toiletries in my car, so your Pod would be a colorful addition. I save XL cotton dress shirts for “man projects.” You can find some great ones at thrift stores plus my brother saves his for me. I see a travel pod in his future! Thanks for another great project idea. Your videos are always so inspiring. Great editing and photography. Plus I love your sense of humor. 😂

I truly appreciate your showing potential places for having difficulty: vinyl catching and how to problem solve that; keeping things square; extra length on the zipper and avoiding losing the pull; bumping against the machine with stiff fabric; almost forgetting the strap. I absolutely could see myself doing any of those things and appreciate the heads-up to avoid an issue.

I have been looking at the Laurastar but there is nowhere near me I can go see it and the Canadian company that sells them won’t let me return it if I don’t like it. I hope you can answer a question for me about it. Do you ever have the problem of brown spitting with this iron like irons with water directly added do?
@TheSewingChannel6 ай бұрын
No brown spitting at all!
@donnadailey50626 ай бұрын
I checked out the Laurastar, considered the investment in it, stuck with my Rowenta and bought a new Singer iron, any of the steam irons will eventually spit on my fabric, so... I made a silk organza sole plate cover (bought pkg of wool and silk organza from Farmhouse Fabrics, great place); I don't fear scorching my wonderful materials. I do heirloom sewing so keeping my materials pristine is critical. Good luck.
@maryequilter317 ай бұрын
Trick for vinyl, just put scotch tape on the bottom of your zipper foot & it will help tremendously with sticking! Not quite as good as a Teflon foot, but very close
