Project Cheap Jaguar XK8. Why won’t it run?

Why wouldn’t the Jaguar XK8 run. Check the fuel psi to verify the fuel pump is working.

I just purchased a 2000 as well but it runs strong!! It has 60K miles so I had the timing/tensioner/water pump changed, belts and pulleys swapped out, transmission fluid replaced and convertible top motor fluids replaced. My brother runs a shop and told me honestly it looks great!! I am very excited for this to be my new ride and I'll be following your progress!!

What did you pay? There is one for $3500 local that I’m thinking about…. I feel like $2000 or $1500 is more realistic…

I looks like I am going to need to replace the fuel pump on my 2003 XK8. Need more info on your lowering the rear assy. How much 'stuff' you had to disconnect to be able to lower the assy, etc.

I removed the braces running to the rear end assembly, the driveshaft cover and the rear end mounts. I left the driveshaft attached and the shocks attached.

Hey Man, i inherited my fathers 01 Xkr8 and cannot locate the Fuel Injection Pressure sensor to replace on the car, would you know where it would be?

@@gavinpowell3107 if you are running lean I would recommend inspecting your intake connections after the mass air sensor. Also check fuel pressure. There can also be issues with the intake manifold.
