I like this game a lot and it was fun being able to drive in heavy snow on the Nurburgring with cars that shouldn't be in snow

Good review, you deserve more subs. Two points from PGR4 very disappointed me back then. Somehow I didn't like the few changes in the handling, and while the new weather system was pretty to look at and a good implementation, the old lighting system and reflections from PGR3 still looks better. In the old cockpit view there are even reflections in the windshield which still blows my mind. The newer graphics are a downgrade in my opinion. Cheers.

I always thought that the Project Gotham series weren't any good and ignored them but this review changed my mind

I used to ignore the whole series as well, until I played Metropolis Street Racer on the Dreamcast years ago and thought that the Project Gotham Racing games were going to be the same.

I'm currently replaying this game and im in owe of it. First of all the graphics are just incredible for 2007, especialy the cities, it reminds me of the graphical gap that Driveclub set, and with few tweaks they look top tier even today. That being said i don't really care for graphic but I'm a sucker for good design and here atmosphere is amazing. I hate the corny and amateurish design of menus and hud though. The cockpit view is amazing, and it often looks like prereneder promotional material, and the rest of cameras are decent. Handling is great for an arcade game, and although there are some cars that feel just wrong, others are pure fun to drive, and I love that arcade style with a droplet of a sim. My biggest surprise were the tracks. Ussually I hate city tracks, aprat from few exeptions like seattle from gran turismo 2/3/4, or few need for speed cities, but here they are just amazing to drive on. Incredible design. I like the way the main carrer is set, although I think there should be a second one more in veins of other pgr games. Car selection is also excellent and I love the addition of low powered cars. One thing that I don't enjoy at all are bikes which aren't bad but i just could't care less about them. As always I love your review! ;)

Thanks. I agree. The handling is brilliant. Bizarre Creations managed to make a game that wasn't too arcady yet still felt like a proper arcade game, and the graphics are amazing. they are better than other Xbox 360 exclusives from 2007 such as Forza Motorsport 2.

@@MontegoReviews when it comes to graphic I would go as far to call it the best looking xbox360 racer. Forza Motorspot 4 had better looking cars, but nowhere as good looking tracks, not even mentioning weather effects. Not everything looks as good as it could, but it's kinda like with driveclub, there are parts of it unmatched on this console, even if few visuals are medioce.

I seem to recall the rear view mirror in the game, in at least the car I started out in, being flipped (so cars attempting a pass on the left would look like they were attempting a pass on the right). It was a bug so distracting I stopped playing and went to play other racing games instead. Maybe I should try it again some time.
