PROJECT SLAVE 1 PART 3A ‘ROTATING COCKPIT ANIMATION’
My solution to the rotating cockpit problem of Boba Fett’s spaceship Slave 1. I have used this design to recreate Slave 1 in 1/34 scale. I kinda prefer the old cross-section book's idea of mounting all the chairs on gimbles to move to the right spot in flight, I'm a gimble guy, but this is definitely more workable without breaking down. Altho everything constantly breaking down is very starwarsy

Great comment slothfulcobra. I think having everything on gimbals would be like flying a rollercoaster - not good on a full stomach 🥴🤮 Simple is often safest.

The cockpit doesn’t rotate in the movie and show. Only the middle area supposed to rotate. Very cool work you did but it’s not even near accurate.

Looks awesome but the passenger 2 seats doesn't make sense- It does not rotate like the upper deck when in flight

I don't see why not, but that will have to be somebody else's project. I have my hands full with Slave 1.

I don't want to be mean, but the cockpit doesn't rotate 180 degrees in the official ship according to the behind the scenes of The Mandalorian which explains how the Slave 1 shots were done. The cockpit is already in a reversed position so the rotation that you do is not needed and the cargo hold also rotates with the cockpit once the ship goes vertical.

Thanks for the comment RedRaven. I love Slave 1 but the interior design is totally stupid. I know my design isn't cannon but it is a lot more practical. Check out my reasoning in Episode #3. I hope you enjoy the rest of the build series.
