I have two mk4 Escorts and a Ford Taunus (Cortina) Tc1, a Scoprio and a Sierra Sapphire, but this year i went out and bought myself a St220. An absolute joy to drive and perfect as a daily. They are actually quite common in Sweden and since it's a ford there is alot of spare parts around. All around an amazing car for 1500pounds.

Love my ST220, best car I've owned. They were built from 2002 to 2007. 13877 were built globally, of which 5444 went to the UK.

10 out of 10 for the ST220 owner having everything done correctly :) I have had a mk1 and mk3, the mk3 had issues when we were going an holiday, I hired a mk5 for 3 days, no contest, bought a mk5 and scrapped the mk3 !

Ive just done the outer driveshaft on the driver side on my St220 as well. Got the new clutch kit on order too as well a few other parts. Dan is gonna have a nice motor when its all finished.

Great work and nice to see you in a festive mood under the present climate..I have the v6 zetec S with upgraded brakes and heated leather seats in panther black with 70K on the clock over 4 years all I did was change the battery..

Great video and great car. I owned one of these a few years ago. Only had 28k on the clock. Yes the brakes were terrible!! But a very nice car, better than the new mk5's. Wish I had kept it. Excellent video as always 👍👍

@@alan4x Same to you, king of the Mondeo world :) I like your garage operation, how you relate to the other guys and of course, Miss Santa, and how you approach repairs. Stuff like the wheel nut and other things shows attention to detail of the whole job. I use to write the mileage, date and type of oil on cars, just open the bonnet and there is the history!!

Essex roads police unit was one of the last forces to use the ST220...They was very reluctant to let theirs go.... I had the tdci version, which compared to the petrol version, was pretty basic.. no recaro sears as standard.. but the one i had, was fully spec'd.. I bought it with the original bill of sale, the first owner must of put one big tick across the options list, as the sales bill came to nearly 27k.. More than the 220 model.. Such a sad moment when i sold mine..

Brilliant cars, I have had the pleasure of owning two in the past, one was the 115 bhp TDCi, the other was a 130 bhp. Loved them both dearly.
