@retromechanicalengineer managed to beat the crank to a shade over 2 thou one side and 1 thou the other.......don't think im going to get it any better, convinced one of the crank pin holes is machined on the wonk

@@TweedsGarage that sounds like more than near enough. Very good in fact. Are the flywheels within 4 thou? They can vibrate quite badly if they are out.

The heavy weight forks look brilliant in the frame, much better than the spindly lightweight alternative. I like your idea of having machined inverted cups to take the tops of the rubber gaiters. I had the same idea last year and have made a pair in steel rather than aluminium, the projecting flange over which the gaiter fits needs to be quite thin and may be vulnerable in a trials environment. Looking forward to more videos in this series. 👍

Nice job Dean, I like your homemade tool, and it worked great. I have had several fork tubes hard chromed and turned down. Just like original when done. Man you are getting close to that 1000, awesome!
