Fantastic video as always. Some great progress made. Not great not terrible seems to be the watchword. Looking forward to seeing the reassmbly and wheel building! Sending love to you, Rebecca and the boys.

Yes, not too bad all in all, only 3.6 Roentgens. Have a safe trip. Love to you and the family. Dean.

Great work Dean and all in all so far everything that came apart looked good. The dreaded open bearings strike again with that amount of grease! I'm yet to see a D7 fork that remains oil tight and as you pointed out, the seals are woefully inadequate. The tyres were that old they could nearly be classed now as "heirloom" tyres. Looking forward to the rebuild.

Thanks Bones. Those tyres must be the originals, I'm sure of it. The tubes too, they still hold air really well. As you say, the forks will leak come what may, as the bushes seem ok it's pointless renewing everything for the sake of it. It will get new seals as a sign of goodwill! Hope you are fine, best wishes Dean.

eyup Dean, very thorough job, looking good, when i re-spoked my original A7ss rims with stainless spokes, i think the rims were stamped up "Jones" as the manufacturer. just a bit of useless information there!!! see you next time atb Kev

Thanks Kev. Jones Rims were very good, original equipment in many cases. These wheels are staying as they are, the next project will be getting wheels built. Best wishes, Dean.

Looking pretty good all in all Dean. Those seals really are a bit of a token gesture lol. Cheers, Jon

With all those loose nuts & bolts just a quick trip round the block and it would probably have disassembled itself!

@@markkneller1172 you can get a tool from 'Classic Bike Shop' in the UK, not sure if it will fit D10. I had to make a tool to fit my heavyweight B175 forks.
