Great series. Thanks mate. I would love to see another video telling us how things have gone!!

Fantastic series. I am doing a twin vnt turbo on a GM 6.2 diesel V8. Using TPS and RPM in 0-5 volt output to a summing op amp to map the boost. This sum will be converted to PWM signal to drive a vacuum solenoid. A boost max pressure relief valve will back feed the vent line to this solenoid for a degree of closed loop control. VNTs almost require closed loop control.

Awesome video mate! Why not run positive pressure actuators to control the vanes. Torque master actuator or similar, I think turbosmart do one and spply different springs for different boosts, coupled with a boost tee you could set it nicely.

For example in this situation to control vnt with a compressed air of the turbocharger (like wastegate turbo) you can take + - 1 bar westegate actuator and install it directly in a vacuum actuator place. For example from Discovery Td5 C2J7. Before wastegate actuator install manual boost pressure valve - it will be able to start to control wastegate actuator in range what will exceed 1 bar. With compressed air from the air compressor or tyre, adjustable air pressure regulator with gauge and manual boost control valve you can adjust at what boost wastegate actuator will start to move (lower turbo pressure ). If boost is too rapid, you can make it a little bit slower experimenting with a stop screw adjustment. For safety you can install external wastegate valve before turbo.

He’s sold the car. A kid on TikTok has it now and he’s sold turbo setup off and gone a ufi21L. Bit sad but takes a big brain to do what this man has done
@NissanAltima20056 жыл бұрын
the 1000ft.lb were at 1400 rpm while there is no boost in the newer dyno run. Well, a 1000ft.lb will snap the input shaft but try to partially recover that low end torque as it can not be resisted.
