What an amazing job your doing on that bike! Very few people are able to produce such a work quality. It is a real pleasure to watch your videos! Merci! 💪💪💪

@Fixin2Ride you should put the shims with the markings facing down because the markings will wear off. Next time you have to adjust the shims you won't be able to read the shim size, you can still measure them but it is more convenient if you can actually see the markings. Nice job by the way ;-)

Looks like you forgot to put in the little damper for the timing chain guide underneath the head gasket.

You make it look so easy. I presume there is an assembly workshop manual just out of shot. I didn't see you TDC before can install... 😱

You didn't show the installation of the bolt under the leading chain guide. Hope no one misses it.

Hopefully the wrist pin clip installation just got lost on cutting room floor

My luck after all that I would find a screw or bolt left over that I forgot.

Oh I have a whole pile, but hopefully it's just because I've substituted a stainless steel bolt in its place but you can never be sure lol. Thanks for watching

I haven’t put mine together yet, I hope to get on it soon. What did you put on the base gasket? Was that lock tite on the head bolts?

I still find it had to believe a stock motor makes such poor power compared to other 650s , is the intake tract too small or cams really bad , it's still 650 and a motor doesn't know its a klr or a dr or xl , something is holding that motor back , probably restricted ? .

Did Eagle Mike complete the machining of the cylinder as well as supplying the piston kit?
@Fixin2Ride2 жыл бұрын
Yes he did both. Great guy and great service.

Did you gap your rings before you put them on the piston?
@Fixin2Ride3 жыл бұрын
The rings were pre-gapped by Mike at eagle mike since the kit (jug bore, piston, and rings) came from him as a set. Otherwise you would definitely need to gap the rings. Good catch.
