I first saw Project X in Middle School when the library actually had old Popular Hot Rod magazines. Then I couldn't believe it when I saw it on HBO in Hollywood Knights. Finally I got to see it in person in NC at the Hot Rod Power Tour. It was like Mecca !

I don't care what form Project X is in as long as it smells of high test and is rumbling. Rolling history project for gearheads. Lucky, thanks for helping to keep that alive.

I don't care if the paint doesn't match . Project X is just Bitchin. When I worked on building the L.A. Metro Rail system. Part of it was in Rancho Dominguez. And on lunch break we would walk over to the plant that made American Racing wheels. 6=8.

I’m 78 and I’ve been following Project X since the very beginning. Back then I had 57’ 150 with a 283/283 that I raced. I was hoping to drive down the coast from Port Hueneme to see it for the first time ever. But was unable to make it, what a bummer. When and where is the next time I might be able to see it?

It would make a good video, or even a TV show, to show how the car developed over the years. I hope enough historical pictures and movies exist to make it possible. ✌️

Yellow is a bad color to do touch ups on and get it to match .I wonder how many paint jobs Project X has had over the years . I first became aware of this car from my old 1967 Popular Hot Rodding, Engine Annual magazine. I also have a 1978 Popular Hot Rodding mag, in which there is Project X article , about taking it drag racing, and it had a mishap , which was a differential to leaf spring locator pin broke under load.

Project X is not now , nor has it ever been a Belair . It was built as a 210 series back in 1957 , and was still a 210 when George Elliot bought it off of a used car lot in 1965 . The rear fender inserts on a 57 never had bowties stamped in them , the dash on a 55 Belair had the bowties .

Okay so I've followed this 57 from the get go I believe back in the late 60's. So where is the hood? I'd rather see it with a hood on. Or is the induction system too tall?
