Jordan, you're my hero. Although my water experience is daily. It's not near what you and Deserie do, you two inspire me always. And I hope you two can do this adventure in love and fun for your whole lives.

Nice video! When under sail and engine off we don't worry about lobster pot buoys. Even if you run over they just fall off thanks to skeg rudder. That's why we try to sail in Maine whenever possible.

The part of this video where you start talking about type A fun and Type B fun and spending it with loved ones was such a true statement. He is skipping type C fun, which is the fun of doing nothing, having no objectives or obligations, and relaxing. Cruising is this type of fun. Sail when you want, anchor when you don't. No plan, no time constraints, and no worries. That is my type of fun. I just want to sit at anchor and do nothing.

Just a hint to clean your chain. Instead of wasting so much water and battery trying to wash the mud out with water, what I do is just pull the chain up until it starts to get muddy, then I just shake the anchor back and forth in the saltwater, using a pool with a hook on one edge. The back and forth movement of the chain in the water removes all the mud with no use of batteries. Once this section is clean, push the anchor up a little bit more, rinse and repeat. Works like a charm. :)

You hit the nail on the head with the cruising life. It is much hader and much more rewarding than most people talk about. Its hard to take your 100k dollar boat out and some people would think we where crazy for doing it but its why we bought the boat.

Sometimes it's the closing statements that totally make the video. I'm more of a 2nd type of fun kind of guy and feel like the moment you stop challenging yourself is the moment you start dying. At 54, I decided to get back on dirt bikes and see if I could learn those skills again. Tough learning (mentally and physically) curve but so rewarding to carve a quick turn or land a sketchy jump. Good for you both for getting though the bad and appreciating the good!

Wicked! So many harbors with Craft brews here in Maine - certainly if you can hit Casco bay Portland is the meca of craft beer. Since you are in Georgetown Five Islands Lobster is certainly worth a trip in between refit work. Its BYOB and is some of the sweetest lobster I've ever had without butter. Safe travels!

We loved Maine this summer and Tenants was a destination for us as well. Unfortunately every eatery was closed that day so we missed out on the Happy Clam! But we grabbed some lobsters and I made the lobster Mac and cheese from The Galley Pirates and it was amazing! Definitely a keeper recipe! I’m not sure if you are still in Maine but we had a great time in Snow Island and of course Dolphin Marine where they have the best fish chowder around!

Wow you're on the Penobscot Bay!! I live in the Damariscotta/Newcastle twin villages 30 miles west of Rockland. Been following you two and now the pooch too for over a year. I met my wife sailing on the Schooner Stephen Taber put of Rockland and my daughter just visited from the west coast and we drove up Mount Battie rising behind Camden Maine not 800' high but we could see the whole bay from up there including well North Haven anyway. So cool you are sailing here.. and I LOVE the new Atticus ll ..
