Just a comment about the Ti DMD chip. The pico .47" DMD chip is recomended to use in light systems with less than 1500 lumens; the most of the UST Laser Tvs have lum levels over 2000, and use the standard DLP470 chip.

It really depends on your room as well as the screen. Not all screens advertised at the same gain are actually the same and also have various levels of quality based on other factors.

Thank you for confirming the eARC support. I am torn between this projector and the Hisense L9G. Does the HDMI 2.1 and eARC support from the L9G justify the price difference? I will be using the projector strictly for tv shows, sports and movie watching only. I have a Samsung HW-Q950T and I am basically looking for the best visual and audio sound bar experience.
@ProjectorScreen2 жыл бұрын
@@IPeeOrange for a single laser unit, this v7059i is really awesome. The L9 is a triple laser which has its advantages. The hdmi 2.1 is still limited to 4k60 due to the .47” DLP chip, but eArc does provide superior audio.
@johnrussell92633 жыл бұрын
Great video, only having 2 HDMI ports is a deal breaker for me. The P2 has 3 so if you want to use a dongle at least you still have the ARC and 1 extra HDMI port. I currently have a BENQ 1080p short throw along with a 120in screen, also have a 70in 4k tv but looking to get rid of both and get an UST with a 100in ALR screen. It's either the P2 or LS500, which one do you recommend. I'm only a casual gamer so the input lag isn't that big of a deal
@ProjectorScreen3 жыл бұрын
Are you using the onboard sound? If so, the P2 is a better solution than the LS500, but if you are using an external sound system (with an AV receiver) than the # of ports on the projector itself isn't very important since the receiver switches between the devices. Let me know about receiver and I'll give you my recommendation ;)

what's your recommendation for ALR/CLR screen? Aeon CLR3, Akia CLR 4, Grandview Dynamique?
@ProjectorScreen3 жыл бұрын
Grandview Dynamique for sure out of those. I woudl also suggest the Elite Screens DarkUST, which is better than any of their CLR materials and performs similarly to the Dynamique. Akia is Elite's "cheap" brand and I wouldn't recommend anything from that line.

Brief, informal side by side - px1-pro seems to have the edge with its triple laser engine, but I plan on calibrating and incorporating them against each other in our UST shootout series very soon. The Benq V7050i is still one of the best single laser UST's available

Great video as always. A few questions for you. Is pure motion good on this for sports and fast action? Also do you think this can go up to 150 inch? I know some projectors say 120, but other people have push it to 150 with no changes with quality. Also any word on them making a ALR UST screen that goes up to 150? So far I haven't seen one yet.
@ProjectorScreen3 жыл бұрын
You wont be seeing any 150" ALR screens for UST anytime soon as far as I know unforutnately :(. Pushing this UST beyond the 120" will result in softening of the focus around the outsides. I haven't tried beyond the 120" yet since we dont have a screen setup larger than that to test it against. I would be wary of those who claim that there is no no loss in quality when pushing an image size beyond what the manufacturer states it supports while retaining focus. Those are probably the same people who say that the screen makes no difference and that their wall does jsut fine ;)
@LegendaryOldwarrior3 жыл бұрын
@@ProjectorScreen lol yea I hear you on the wall thing. Just a huge difference with a UST screen over a wall. One guy uses 150 inch screen but it's not a true UST screen. So you have to keep less light or no light to get good quality. Yea I guess I'm just going to have to settle for 120 and hope my wife let's me upgrade to 150 if they do make one and if I get a UST, like vava, that does that.
