Kailash Parvat has been very present in my mind lately for some reason I can't comprehend. By Mahadev's grace I wish to visit Kailash in three years from now, when I save enough money to go there. Is the only place I truly want to travel in the next few years as I'm getting older and is quite challenging to go there.

Mount Kailash, a peak in the Tibetan Himalayas, is considered unclimbable due to several scientific and logistical reasons. Here are some of the key reasons: 1. Unique Geography and Conditions: The mountain’s unique structure and geography make climbing it extremely difficult. It has steep vertical faces and knife-edged ridges, making it treacherous for climbers. Additionally, the climate is harsh, with extreme winds, rapidly changing weather, and high altitudes contributing to potentially fatal conditions. 2. Lack of Climbing Route: Unlike other peaks, Mount Kailash lacks natural climbing routes. The rock quality is poor in many places, with frequent rockslides, making it highly unsafe to establish a path to the summit. 3. Geological Impact: Geologists speculate that disturbing Mount Kailash could have repercussions. According to theories, the mountain might be hollow or have unique magnetic properties, potentially affecting local environmental conditions if disrupted. 4. Religious and Cultural Significance: For centuries, the mountain has held immense spiritual significance for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bon practitioners, who believe it is a sacred space that should remain undisturbed. This cultural reverence has led governments, particularly in Tibet and Nepal, to prevent climbing attempts. While some climbers and adventurers have expressed interest, most respect the natural and cultural barriers surrounding Mount Kailash.

The main reason Mount Kailash remains unclimbed is not because it is impossible to climb. The mountain is sacred in several religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon. If it didn't have such deep religious importance, it might have been climbed like other tough peaks around the world. From a technical and mountaineering view, Mount Kailash doesn't have physical challenges that are impossible to overcome. It is not as difficult as other peaks like Mount Everest or K2, which have been climbed. Its height and terrain are challenging but manageable for experienced climbers with proper equipment and preparation. Even Kanchenjunga, the third-highest mountain in the world, remained unclimbed due to religious beliefs.

Hello Sir. Thank you for making such informative videos. May I request you to share some content regarding the effects of menstrual cycle on Hindu temples, rituals and daily life. My specific question is, is there anything mentioned in our holy books on how to conduct daily routines during those days in any women’s life. I understand that women need to rest and stay away from stressful tasks during those days. However I do not understand how energy balance in temples may be affected ? In some houses they are not touched and are not allowed to touch anything at that time. I have a daughter and I would like to educate her with the actual facts and provide her with proper reasoning as to why we Hindus practice these rituals rather than asking her to follow them blindly.

As always (to borrow your sign off phrase) thank you for a lucid, to the-point and factual rendition with insights such as MACHAPUCHARE, SARAYU river origin and the KALASH people. Most often lack of clarity and lack of will and effort to dig into our rich cultural heritage is glossed over with superficial and fringe narratives which are like the spicy instant food - easy to consume off the cart - robbing the factual and scientifically relevant facts. One lingering thought that still leaves me asking for more is the fact that why this particular peak. Yes you have mentioned eight others but none holds the reverence of such a magnitude as mount Kailash. As you mentioned this is not even among the top 100 of the Himalayan peaks. Your narrative is excellent from the point of view of the established belief system of the various religious faiths but how come they all ended on this particular peak, which is but one among the scores in the region with lakes besides them. Your videos have always been insightful and reflect the enormous amount of research and thought process that goes into them, I request you to delve a little deeper and enlighten us further on the significance of Mount Kailash.

Even I have this question on why just ‘that specific peak’? I am 100% sure that that entire region is revered as Kailash and not just that specific peak. From Ramayanam, we can clearly understand that Manas Sarovar in ‘on the Kailash’ as narrated by Viswamitra Maharshi… and broadly due to other Kshetras like Amarnath etc. My anecdotal answer for your question is, that specific peak, in the region of Manas Sarovar, is the highest in the region and possibly that’s the reason.

@vasuvadlamani1840 4 ай бұрын
@@ProjectShivoham Thank you, sir, for your prompt reply. You have arrived at a reasonable explanation that the entire region is known as KAILASH which can be clearly inferred from SRI RAMAYANAM which mentions ‘Mansarovar is on Kailash’ rather than near Kailash, now that opens up the scope for an even more wider study of the region from our scriptural perspective which might reveal lesser known spots like MACHAPUCHARE and as someone in the comments mentioned PADMA and BINDU SAROVARAM. You have wetted the appetite for more on this, please consider bringing to light further insightful facts about this region.

Kailasha, which is revered by the Indian Sanatanis and Tibetan Bon (since pre-historic times) and Buddhists, is culturally located in Tibet. In 1953, a few years after China's invasion Tibet in 1951, the young India under PM Nehru, to maintain peace, stated that "Tibet is a part of China." China finally occupied Tibet in 1959. Since then China has been claiming whatever is considered culturally Tibetan. Now, no Indian can visit Kailash without a Chinese Visa!!! The claim for Ladakh and Arunachak is still ongoing!!! 😖😖

He can’t tell you that because it requires supernatural powers to determine if something is supernatural, or not. Remember, whatever we call supernatural is only supernatural to those that don’t have the capacity to know the truth about it. For others, with expanded awareness, it is part of the natural. So he’s just bluffing because he thinks his ideas are being more widely accepted if he denies supernatural occurrences. This is the same stance most scholars take on any such occurrences in ancient scriptures or tales. It is too academic and narrow minded. A scholastic approach never finds the truth in spiritual scriptures and literature. It only finds the outer shell of something that will remain hidden until they abandon the scholastic approach and start the real practice that leads to the dawning of wisdom. But a scholar is rarely interested in such change in approach since they are afraid to lose their own self importance and conceptual creations.

It's unfortunate that people like me doesn't even know the names of all those scriptures.... 🙏 I feel the question is still open, why people are unable to hike that particular peak..? Many mountaineers, researches and yogis have made attempts and were unsuccessful because of one or the other (strange) reasons... We worship many rivers, and we still be able to take a dip in it. Likewise from the divinity perspective, such people should have been able to climb...right...? Its like people have experienced the instant result of their karma even by being closer to the Mount Kailash. So their must be a tremendous energy in it and somewhere deep in our scriptures it would have been encrypted... (Just sharing my view 🙏🏻) This reminds me of, taking a dip in Manasa Sarovara could be an topic of a video...

Fantastic video. Ur videos are really boosting my knowledge on Hindu religion...sanathana dharma. Please make a video on a basic question...what is hinduism and what is sanatana dharma...are they same or branch of each other...and most importantly why have we adopted the persian word of Hindu instead of Sindhu? How did supreme gods like Brahma Vishnu Mahesh came about to be reverred and there exists deviation from Brahman...the concept of a single God. Also include why is hinduism very difficult for abrahamics to understand? And also how is hinduism different from other polytheistic religions like maya, inca, egyptian, ancient greek etc... and also why only islam and chritisanity don't have 'ism' in their words...while older abrahamic religion...Jews...also have ism at their back...that is...Judaism. I always watch ur videos in my leisure time and these are an added bonus to my mind. ఆ కైలాసాదిపతి ఇక గౌరీ అమ్మవారు శైవానుగ్రహం మీకు ప్రసాదించుగాక.

North west India perticularly Kashmir portion, todays Pakistan & Afganistan , they were greatest hub for the sanatan dharma and sanskrit language. With Islam , all vanished and some Kalash people r still left fortunately. These poprtion of Indian subcontinent was rich in our true sanatan dharma but this fell first as it bordered countris from where islamic invasion came.

@@soumyadipmukherjee6627 u r right but only few r holding the command now and they r doing their best to keep us aware and becos of them sanatan is still surviving . Majority of the population of Bharat have now become alike in north and south both and r totally ignorant abt their own sanatan dharma.

The lakes are fed by rivers which in turn are formed from Himalayan glaciers. When these lakes get filled up, they over-flow creating more river/basins down stream.. I don't think Krishna has anything to do with it.

Great content packed with information about Indian lore and texts. Can you make a video about all of the main texts in chronological order? Specifically including the itihasas, puranas, upanishads etc. Though it may not be of much value taken literally, it would be of value to understand more of the history of the land/people and the development of various beliefs/traditions.

Good explanation... Got the complete understanding of the spiritual importance of the place... But I still want to know why all of these ethnic groups considered that particular mountain as sacred? What was so special about it that they considered it to be holy and the place of worship or the place of their deities?
