Apparently the bag is a lot firmer than it looks. It almost looks like a toy or a pillow but it sure seems firm when hitting it. I like that.

I have a ringside wrecking ball in my garage so pretty much the same setup as you. I like it but i also dont. Because of the lines on the wrecking ball you want to land on the flat parts or you tend to tweak your wrists. I find myself throwing some weird punches at times because of that. If it was just perfectly round on not like that octagon shape it would be much better imo. The other thing is you either work all head shots or all body shots because it cant really sit at perfect height to do both. The last thing is they really have no head movement benefits. You dont want to be rolling under them they are just too slow. Get a reflex bag and/or a buddy to hit mitts with .

You don't have to avoid hitting the lines with power punches but other than that, it's hands down the best punching bag that's ever been created. It's way more similar to hitting a person than a regular punching bag, by a mile. The angles on a regular punching bag are terrible if you're not throwing straight punches or one hook at a time. They don't move too slow to roll under when I hit them, because of my power and they will get there. If they are gonna have one bag, this is the one to have. It doesn't matter if the bag doesn't move fast when most hit it because practicing rolling under is practicing rolling under. You don't have to have a lot of head movement during punching bag workouts, this video was to demonstrate the bag, not do a Boxing match simulation. They don't need to do all of that..this is better than mitts, it actually requires power, creating muscular endurance and increases punching power a lot.

@USA BOXING WARRIOR yeah mine flails around like crazy too if I hit it with power. It's just annoying though and I still wouldn't use it for head movement exercises. It's just dumb honestly. I like that bag a lot and I put rounds on that thing all the time. Still hate the stitch areas. Wish there was a strap to tether it to the ground so it doesn't move

Just got this as a way to get my heart rate going. Hanging it in my room. I figure the more I see it and closer it is to me, the more often I'll jump in and go at it. Even for a couple minutes 5-10 times a day. I like the body movement this exercise requires.

Many thanks for the review. Is it really 65lbs? I've read other reviews that the bag is more like 80lbs. Also, do you find it harder or softer to hit than your other heavy bag? I am old man trying to minimize the impact on these cranky shoulders lol

You won't regret it. I've hit pretty much every kind of punching bag and the Wrecking Ball bag is my favorite one. The punching angles are way more natural than a regular bag and you can lay into it more without the dimensions of a regular bag denting then swaying instead of immediately flying like this bag does.

thanks for the review. do you like the weight of it? wasn't sure if I should find a heavier option.

I think the weight is perfect, I'm 195lbs. It just depends on the person though.
