as a crewmen for 15 years from top sportsman to ProMod i can promise that you don't need to spend 120k for a bullet to compete.; especially in an 1/8 world...2500 hp is obtainable in many ways these days. the big HP #s are nice to brag on but it really comes down to the converter and application/tuning/longevity .. you can go 4.0 @ 185..or 4.0 @ 200..we do a small alky turbo motor ,450+ ci , that goes 196 mph in the 3's, for 1/3 the cost... just look at what Chuck can do with his small engine on the StreetOutlaw show.

I will always be the biggest fan of big roots and especially screw blowers coming out of the hood but I must say that the performance of prochargers and where it is now, I plan on seeing less it wasn't bad because of how badass prochargers have become and all the different gearing options, etc. where you can definitely put out a massive amount of air! These things are going to be dominating everything and are already starting to, so even with my preferential bias roots and screw blowers, these Pro Chargers are EFFING-BAD-ASS!

I like how you use BME rods virtually exclusively. I've been running Bill's rods since I started building your routine 500" Iron block mopar stroker. I've gone 6 YEARS on a set of rods once without changing the bearings! LOL The one thing I've found, I've had TERRIBLE luck in that combination retorquing rods. EVERY time I've done that I've kicked the rods out in short order. I suspect it's because the rods are so big and the space is so small given the low pan rail you can't get a stretch gauge in there. I'll keep using bills stuff unless I learn a secret, I'll use em once and hang em on the wall or give em to kids at the track. GREAT vid! Your stuff is WAY too expensive for me but it's clearly awesome! I'm starting another 500 stroker motor with a blower now. It'll be my very first forced induction build.

We see a lot of billet parts these days, but some of these are particularly nice. The timing cover. The camshaft. The block deck surface. Certain details about this engine are also especially slick. The air plenum is easy to appreciate. Sometimes the metal will warp when you machine the crap out of it like that. The angle from the supercharger to the plenum is the shortest I've ever seen. The fact that it's a methanol engine and doesn't need an intercooler is also awesome.

A roots blower is better and cheaper than a Pro-Charger by far that why you don’t see top fuel using them cause there not as efficient, if they were the best blowers top fuel would be using them think about it, they used the best parts they can get and they use 14-71 roots blowers *( there not allowed to run 16-71’s anymore since they shortened the quarter and changed the rules for safety I think we’ll see the return of the 16-71 and the full 1/4 once the safety equipment catch’s up with the speeds the cars can achieve in a full quarter top fuel cars are hitting 330mph in 1000ft a 1/4 mile is 1320ft imagine how much faster they could go in that extra 330ft they would be getting up close to 400mph which current safety gear can’t withstand but there working on it )* running a big block out past 6500rpm is risky throw a rod or god knows what some ppl are running these out to 9600rpm and have there limiter set at 10600rpm on a BB there crazy

Not the valve angles, plug location, chamber design...........nothing.
