Neato bat switch panel! For fastening it to the cabinet, you could recess some 1/4" bolts flush with the surface of your panel, long enough to extend thru your cabinet. Then you could secure it with nuts inside the cabinet. Glue the hex head of the bolts into you panel, then you could paint over them with some black fingernail polish or somesuch.

Cool! Classic example of "Bat and Switch"... 👍 Maybe now you can pull the sink and hide the screws from behind (???)

Put a few t nuts into the back of the panel and use a hex bolt in from the inside Would be better than screws as it could be removed multiple times without loosening

Awesome switch plate. 🏆 Just wondering how you're going to finish the edges, but I'm sure you've got that figured out! Double stick foam or VHB should work for mounting it, as long as you don't care too much about being able to remove it for maintenance. Otherwise a few screws aren't going to be a problem in my opinion as they can be painted to match. Thanks very much for the video.

Maybe if you make the plate out of 1/4 and drill corresponding holes in the cabinet the switch nuts themselves would hold the plate and switches in place. So, no visible screws on Bat Plate and won't stick out as far. But the plate looks great as it is now.

Thanks Randy! A little design change coming... I liked the Bat Plate, but didn't love it! :)

What bit are you using on the CNC? BTW your videos are great and I have learned a lot of knowledge to use in my build. Thank you

Thank you for the kind words... I used the standard 1/4" upcut bit that came with the CNC. Haven't done anything serious with the router yet, so that bit works well for now. :)

Didn’t you have the vacuum attachment when you set up the CNC?
@OregonBatman2 жыл бұрын
Yessum... I do. I just didn't hook it up so I could see the cut. On the smaller stuff, I generally leave it off. The first attachment got destroyed when one of the pieces flew off and knocked the attachment into the bit. :)
