Nice video Bryan. Good to know these will work with the eurocompulsion skid plate, I wasn't sure if they did. Is that for both the original, and revised versions of the EC skid plate? Would have liked to see how you fit the tunnel brace on with the EC skid plate. Is that a Corsa forza brace? I have an original CPR brace so the fitment is a little different.
@BWCDAD5 жыл бұрын
Also, first time I noticed these have two drain plugs? What is that all about?
@NGENCustomsandPerformance5 жыл бұрын
Art2Gecko its a CPR brace. Fits fine with the EC skid plate, well the new one at least. We don’t have any experience with the older one
@NGENCustomsandPerformance5 жыл бұрын
Art2Gecko the two drain plugs is due to the one on the left being a port for an oil temp gauge.

I have a question I just bought an Abarth with one of these pans installed and I'm curious why there is two drain plugs and also if I could buy the plugs that it's supposed to have separate to buying a whole new pan again because the ones I have don't look the the ones in the video and for some reason are siliconed in and I'm hoping they don't leak I am doing my first oil change on the car since getting it
@ricardocascitelli5 жыл бұрын
Hi thank again for your videos! I have oil consumption in my abarth it’s 2017 with 9,000 miles there is no leak on the engine. The prometo oil pan work for a better oil consumption?
@NGENCustomsandPerformance5 жыл бұрын
If you have oil consumption at 9,000 miles on a 2017, I would take your vehicle to the dealer for warranty as you should not have that. The larger oil pan wouldn’t help for oil consumption in your case.
@DaveTheGolia7h4 жыл бұрын
Are you positive that you remove the studs? It seems like they are there to help you guide the oil pan on.
@NGENCustomsandPerformance4 жыл бұрын
DaveTheGolia7h yes. The oil pan will not come off without removing them. If you prefer, you can reinstall the studs once you put the new oil pan in place. However, once you get all the bolts in, the oil pan is lined up perfectly.

John O look closely at the prometeo oil pan - it has protection for that so the oil is not affected by the midpipe. It’s a great upgrade
@Chilicharger6655 жыл бұрын

A couple of questions (unless I missed something), I can't see why you had to remove the bumper, if you left the studs in place wouldn't they help locate the new sump when fitting up?
@NGENCustomsandPerformance4 жыл бұрын
I remove the bumper so I have access at multiple angles to pry on the original pan to get it out. In theory you could avoid that step but I want to make sure people have all options to get it off. As for the studs, you can reuse them if you like but they have to be removed in order to get the original pan off.
@jonost244 жыл бұрын
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance Thanks for the quick reply. My daughters Abarth has a dodgy thread on the sump plug. I have a dowty washer at the moment which appears to seal OK. I'm also thinking of re-cutting the thread to the next size as a fix. This video is helpful, not a bad job to do. Thanks
