I bought my last new vehicle I will ever buy in 2018, a Ram 2500 limited with everything on it, $57,500.00. I shopped for over a year and got what I wanted for the price I thought was decent, same vehicle now in 2024 is almost 100k, I laugh at these prices and just keep driving. Usually keep my vehicles for 20 years, still driving my 2003 Dodge Ram also.

Getting rid of my TROUBLE FREE 21 Grand Cherokee and replacing it with a 24 Prius around easter was a great financial decision. Gas savings made it worth it alone and got good money for the Jeep before this crash also helped. Go woke go broke Stellantis.

That new Prius redesign is beautiful, and the car has a lot more power than the previous model. Great purchase, sir!

@ Eh, it’s good and bad. Tires are very hard to get for it. Learned within 2 weeks of purchase when I hit a pothole and left pin in the sidewall. Waited 3 weeks for a replacement. Also ordering a windshield on a modern car like that one is a hassle. But yes I love the car otherwise. Still better than STELANTIS GARBAGE

does woke = greed, is it a financial term...dont you really mean they priced their inventory beyond their traditional customer base and while some did sucker up and pay those inflated prices and markups...apparently others don't or won't...is that what you meant to say?

Stellantis has to be in the worst position...They have thousands of new 2023s sitting on dealer lots as 2025 models are rolling in. if you buy one of these " new" 2023's you have to know that its a 2 year old car as soon as you drive it off the lot
@cjsteele959420 күн бұрын

❤️🖤💙 i own a 2019 392 Daytona fully loaded paid $47.000 out the door I live directly across the street from the Dodge dealership, they call me every day trying to get me to come in. When Dodge made the last call on Chargers and challengers, they played a very dangerous game charging people $70,000 for Scat packs$ 80 ,000 for hell cats over a $100 ,000 for demons with markups. And people went for it So I blame Dodge. For that market, crashing because right after they did it, everybody else followed suit. They have brand new hellcats sitting 40 yd away from my house, I walk outside. Look at them and laugh. Not to mention These cars have been sitting there for almost 2 years and not one of them has moved not even a test drive 😂

Was looking for a new Toyota Tacoma and refused to buy at those prices. Got a call from a salesperson I talked to and he was singing that the prices are plunging now. I asked him for a ballpark average, and he said 35K for a SEVEN-YEAR-OLD TRUCK. Hung up.
@captaincoffeecake35952 ай бұрын
this is what happens when you let predatory loans run wild , all the morons who couldnt even afford to finance a cheeseburger got loans for WAY more then they ever could afford are all used up . people who common financial sense wont pay these prices and take 12% interest even with 800 credit scores. same with houses too. there is a big difference in the value of something and the cost of it .
@hbebee1Ай бұрын
Historically, this has been the trend every time the auto industry over inflates prices. That "balloon" was created during the pandemic. Baloons will always bust at some point. Many, like myself, just decided to drive my current car until the wheels fall off when they started (over) inflating prices.

Agree agree. But salespeople don’t discount too much off at all. Looking at 23 challengers. Still want base price. Even though most have been sitting for 600 days

30k off after mark up of 200percent. Freaking joke. If people quit paying these prices they'll eventually have to come back to reality. Wake up

I tried to buy a used Frontier on December 8 2025. I have a true 850 credit score. I’m the easiest person you could sell a car too. The dealer wanted $3800 in dealer add ons. It’s a 2024 Frontier!!! They are killing themselves. I walked out. We could have done a deal in 30 minutes but they tried to screw me as soon as I walked in the door. I laughed knowing the salesman is literally starving for a sale still shoot themselves in the foot.

This is what happens when you bail out these companies and they think they can never go bankrupt. Government is the reason that they do this plus the large amount of recalls is costing them a fortune.
@MichaelRobinson-lt6eeАй бұрын
Your absolutely correct behind dealerships and car Manufacturers the culprit is the government , each year more laws are added to restrict control everything and everyone , it's the government that fights against the American public

Amen brother…let them rot, rust and just plain cost the dealers and auto industry tons of greedy money! I have an 18 year old vehicle, that I absolutely love, and will continue drive it…it’s a Honda and we all know they’re made to last! I’ve taken very good care of it so it would last! I also have a six year old Chevy Silverado, taking care of it so it will last. Would never pay these greedy prices they are asking now…I’ll walk first!

In March of 2020 I bought a 2019 Toyota Tundra off the dealer lot, it was a trade-in, for $33,000 all-in. I will never buy a new truck, depreciation, or get rid of my truck unless the market resets itself, these prices are ridiculous.
@dugie5246Ай бұрын
I'm friends with my auto insurance agent. We were discussing this issue and he said the insurance industry is not covering purchase price of new vehicles. The dealer usually knows how much to get customers to put down knowing if you drive it off the lot and wrecks and totals vehicle 2 weeks later, vehicle is worth about 75% of purchase price. Insurance companies ain't gonna pay more than vehicle worth.
@dave36572 ай бұрын
I would go to my credit union/bank first and ask what they would loan on the vehicle you want to buy. Then make that offer, cash on the barrel head to a dealer. Of course they want to finance, but you already know what your payments will be. If they don’t want to sell you a vehicle, walk. Try another dealer.
