I’ve also heard it said that the prophets’ job was to say what God said. Combined w/ what you shared, might it be that their clarity for the now is the lens they view/share God’s words through? That seems a bit of an oversimplification but putting it out there.

Well, if we think about how a "theory" is our attempt to see things how "Theos (God)" does, then sure. All prophets are speaking from a heightened (and deepened) perspective of what is happening right in front of them, which would not be possible if they were not on some level graced with the ability to see the situation from God's perspective.
