ATP has a Zero to Hero program, so you can actually start there without your Private Pilot Cert.

@@blackheartwolf Really? Their website still shows that they offer the Zer0 to hero track that allows you to start with zero time and no PPL.

@@blackheartwolf That doesn't sound correct. ATP is known for their Zero to hero program and if that were true, they would severely limit their customer base. I'd get a second opinion if you are seriously considering ATP.

@blackheartwolf Honestly that could be based off the amount of applicants that they are receiving, and could be just the location that you spoke with.

Hey guys! Absolutely love your channel and the content!! Hopefully you guys will see this since it's an old video. Does going to an accelerated program like ATP rob you of experience or the absorption of what you're actually learning? Just looking for you guys' thoughts on this. One flight school I was looking at before I settled on one said the last couple of ATP grads they were interviewing didn't seem to be solid with some of the knowledge required to be CFI. Thank you!

Hey Dylan, do you already have your Private or are you starting at zero hours? Also, why did you choose ATP over other AZ providers like Aeroguard and American Flyers?

Each program has its pros and cons Small FBO- (pro) typically cheaper by cost and by hour (Con) typically takes longer to complete training. Accelerated-(pro) complete training within a year (Con) about 80% more expensive and is a full time commitment 141 college-(pro) complete college and degree within 4 years and have reduced hours for airline job (Con)- realistically only an option for college age kids, and no backup option if aviation career doesn’t work out

My problem is I’m in college because I know you need a degree in most cases and I want a backup career. Should I try to cram two lessons ontop of my schooling? Or wait until summer?? Thanks

Only downside with ATP is they’re not VA approved! VA approved schools have to be 141.

Flight training has to be taught under part 61 (less strict and up to the flight instructor) or part 141 (more strict and approved by the FAA). The VA will only fund veterans' flight training through the GI Bill, VR&E, etc, if the school is part 141 among other things, such as being in business for several years.

ATP doesn’t allow you to work while training. So if your looking for a Career change, too bad. They also discriminate Against pilots u have to carry a SODA. I don’t recommend ATP. it’s $96K and u need to have money set aside to Live. That’s BS!

Yeah you have to follow a certain guideline to get finished and they have seen people who work or are only part time lower their completion ratings. So they will boot you as well!
