I was also told by my stylist that braids of any kind left in longer than 5 weeks is neglect. Our hair sheds to much for 6 weeks and up. Plus my hair knots extremely bad so anything past the 5 week mark defeats the purpose of hair protective styles. I haven't heard a con for these braids that aren't common for braids. Good luck to everyone...njoy!

My goto protective style for protective style season is always braids but it has been crochet braids with boho locs for the past few. The company had a great sale and I purchased so many packs during that time. I have one in now and 2 more left at home in my closet so I'll take these out after the new year and let my hair rest for about a month (cause I'm lazy and broke lol) then put another pack in. I keep each style in 4 6 to 8 weeks. When the 2nd pack comes out and I let my hair take another break it will be the end of protective style season. Then I'll be back to my twist outs in spring summer and fall. I want to do a lot more stretched styles since I brought the revair during the black Friday sale (I just love me a sale). I'll have one more pack for next winter then I think I'll start my loc journey in 2021.

Personal Con with these braids was how it affected my edges. Had a lot more issues with tension + pulling, & I think I lost more hair with this style overall than I have with bigger braids. Which was hella surprising considering they're supposed to be lighter. But mine were a lot thinner than yours though so I think that had a lot to do with it.
