I grew up in Farmington/Farmington hills area. There are definitely a lot of pro’s and con’s to living here. One pro is that’s it’s pretty safe and quite suburb. Plus the parks are pretty nice. But a big con is that you have to drive everywhere! Almost all of the roads are not bike friendly. Also Everything is so spread out that businesses and social centers are not walking distance. But that’s an unfortunate problem for most suburbs.

I have lived here for a little over a year and been the victim of random felony assault by a stranger on the road & a victim of my car being broken in and credit cards stolen during the day at the community center. This is by far the most unsafe city I have ever lived & would advise people to think of living elsewhere. The crime is extremely high from my experience compared to other cities in Oakland County.
