Early in 2025 the city is going to initiate a year long pilot program of a city owned ride share program in 2 parts of the city. Depending on the results, the program may be expanded later. The vans will be wheelchair accessible and have racks where people can put grocery bags.

amazing video, thanks for sharing. We are thinking about moving to Spartanburg from Cumming, Alpharetta area in Atlanta North, but not sure yet. We visit Greenville often and our Russian Slavic community is huge in Greer, Mauldin, Spartanburg, and other small towns; our people absolutely love it there. There are Slavic churches, Russian grocery stores, and all kinds of things, so I love it. And most of them buy land and build homes. What communities would you recommend and is there still land in Spartanburg in a safe area? Thanks, Mary

Hey Mary :) I agree there definitely is a Russian Slavic Community here and I love it. Great people, food, culture and so much more. There is still plenty of land in Spartanburg county. The most recent crime statistics for the state for 2022 posted on the SLED website don’t show Spartanburg County’s crime rate to be the highest in the state in any category of crime. The most common type of crime in Spartanburg is property crime, especially larcenies such as shoplifting. The city of Spartanburg police department is one of 2 in the state, the other is Columbia, that has implemented Real Time Crime technology.
