Jemi Got Soulll same here. soft hair calls for two strands...washed 3x a week and tangled my hair faster. if you started with coils on soft hair that's counterproductive. at the 3:10 mark you mention people wondering if your hair stinks...that's where they get that idea from

Very true, but there are many locticians that tell you not to wash for a month straight on starter locs, so maybe it does depend on the hair texture. free formers say washing w/ shampoo only helps to loc faster.

Always wash your hair regardless if your hair is soft. Washing helps tangle the hair faster. People with soft texture hair should interlock if they don't want to go through the comb coil route. After your hair is locked then you can switch back to comb coils or using your fingers.

My dreadlocks started at above ear length and it has been 2 years and now its at shoulder length. You can use a lot of different oils like castor oil to help it grow faster.
