Great song, already familiar with Ray. Should have been big hit. Tv series was brilliant, should have been several series. Shame ITV and Channel 4 fell out over it. Great stuff, my mum loved it, as does my wife who saw it years later.

Prospects was an awesome show i was in my early teens then, pinsey and billy and a new money making job idea each week, does anyone remember the episode where they did pest control catching mice and rats etc? 🤣 🤣 🤣 That was an hilarious episode

I was also in my early teens and loved this series. I think it used to come on tv at 9pm? There were going to make a 2nd series based around a minicab office but I think it got scrapped. Yea pest control one was hilarious. What memories I’m gonna be 50 next year time flys man

Somehow I missed it when it was on TV, but I heard about it two or three years ago, and now I've got the DVD set. Absolutely brilliant series, with two central characters who were really relatable, and a good set of supporting characters. It should have run for years, it had so much potential. I like to think that the lads made it in the end somehow. They had the one essential quality that all entrepreneurs need - they never gave up.

I was about 20 when this came out . I worked nights on the railway at the time so I’d record it on my video recorder then watch it in the morning when I came in . Great show and the theme tune was catchy aswell 👍

I was early twenties and despatch riding when this came out in '86 and loved every minute of it. Sadly only a dozen episodes I believe. Which I've still got on VHS tapes 🤣 It was so apt for the times. It was all shot on location on the island which was going through drastic changes at the time and Euston Films, who made it, along with The Sweeney and Minder, were way ahead of their times. Sorry to be pedantic but the theme tune is fantastic and I still remember all the words which the poster Bledfrogs got a bit wrong. But thanks for posting this in the first place Bledfrogs. And having flipped through your channel there are some GREAT tunes on there that I'll come back to. I've tried, without success, to message Bledfrogs and post them privately so will post the lyrics below.
