If your smart, you write it into your contract that your not responsible to damages to the driveway, yard ect. You will make a best effort to protect them and avoid damages. At the end of the day if its a grass yard and they want you to put it there. Its on them if you tear up the grass, same with the driveway. I have wording in all my contracts. Its not 100% and listen anyone can sue you for anything but it will discourage most people and if you have liability insurance that's what its for. 1. The customer will be responsible for the provision of free and suitable access to and from the delivery site (including the removal and reinstatement of local obstructions) and for ensuring suitable ground conditions for the delivery, placement and removal of the dump trailer. No responsibility will be accepted for the damage to any surface and you should therefore take steps to protect surfaces (e.g. paving slabs, soft ground) before delivery.

Great video, appreciate your content and experience, makes me think dump trailer may be the way to go. Watched your dump trailer vs roll off video but this video really has me thinking about sticking with dump trailers.

Another idea is conveyor belt from local gravel pit. The belt is heavy, but thin belt should be enough to protect driveways. Or check out local fire department for old fire hose.

Fire hose! That's a great idea

I have used just about everything. I have ever used cardboard dubbed up and it worked well. When ever I see good plywood , 1 x 4 or 2 x 4, or any other good materials in the dumpster that is easily to get out I keep it for purposes like that.

I think it’s about time to get some new tires! Looking like slicks.

They are brand new! 16 plys only had them 2 months. They are a much harder rubber though. Everyone thinks so at first glance.

I like the rubber under the roller assume idea.and what size winch are you using?

use ivory soap in bar form on your rails to lubricate them. my uncle used to be a house mover and this is what they used to lubricate the I-beams that the house or building would slide on to
@kylegrimm2 жыл бұрын
That’s such a good idea

Dude I thought so too.. just stopped by the store and bought several bars. So much less messy than grease

Love your videos and attention to detail my man. When loading a dumpster why don’t you leave the truck in reverse to help out the winch?
@rollingops2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes I do! Especially in grass, but when that trailer is empty, my truck has enough power it will push the dumpster down a flat surface. Suprised me the first few times I tried.

Have you ever thought about swapping the dumpster wheels out with the “driveway safe” rubber wheels? I had to rent a dumpster for a remodel cause I don’t have mine yet and they had an option for rubber wheeled dumpster
@rollingops2 жыл бұрын
I've never heard of that! That's awesome, ill look into it.
@SrNitShft357 Жыл бұрын

But how do you protect a gravel driveway? LOL
@rollingops2 жыл бұрын
Haha that was a Gravel road sir, and a swamp drive, what a nightmare.
@engineking7777 ай бұрын
there is no way, just make customer sign document that you will not cover damages and that you verbally remind them and ask them if its ok. then land it there and go by your business. not hard to fix gravel driveway anyway
