I can’t tell you how happy I am that you are doing this knit along. I’ve been knitting for quite a while but have not been happy with the couple of sweaters I’ve tried. When I got this pattern I didn’t understand any of it. So I can’t wait to get started.

I am also a bit confused by the directions. “On the bottom of page four where it says to “Repeat these two rows until a total of X repeats of the Chevron Sleeve Panel - is that 4 (number of rows in the Chevron Pattern) x my size?

Hey, this is my very first KAL and I just received my kit. Ready, set, go......
@kathygoodman61596 жыл бұрын
Thank you for making that so clear. I've never done a provisional caston before, so I really enjoyed seeing it. This yarn is so gorgeous to work with. I'm so glad you chose this sweater for your KAL. Now all we need is the warm weather lol. March sure did come in like a lion, let's hope it goes out like a lamb. See you next time!

Hi grocery girls! I just got my novel-T knit along kit Friday and I love the color of my yarn! I chose pumpkin because I'll probably get it finished toward the end of summer but it's a beautiful smoky color with a sheen to it! I'm so excited!

I had gotten all the way to the final body row and started counting the stitches to make sure my sleeves were even. I discovered I was 10 stitches short on the back!!!!!! No way to fix this except to start again. This time I obsessively counted the crochet cast on and used stitch markers to make sure I had the correct number on the front and the back. Oh well, I had to laugh and just start again. Still looking forward to the finished project. :)

Ok, I’m a beginning knitter, so I’m easily confused. At the row 2 of right shoulder set up, We cable cast on 10 stitches on to the left needle. Then she shows us what we are setting up for but when the camera returns... there are stitches on both needles. Did she just transfer these 10 sts or did she knit through these until the other side and next shoulder set up? The video looks like she just transferred the cable cast on and started knitting at the provisional stitches.
@donalehr65786 жыл бұрын
How do you calculate the correct number of stitches to split neck? I have 84 rather than 77 as my front (and back), so is it 117 (as in pattern for medium) plus 7?

I've come to this party a year late I know, but have a question; did they just do the cable cast on on the same side they did the crochet cast on? It looks like what she did. Hoping to get an answer to my question.

Is there enough yarn in the kit to lengthen the sleeves a bit to come down mid upper arm?
@darialay34726 жыл бұрын
Oh, that's a great question! I hope someone replies, because I would rather a bit longer sleeve as well.
@Emily-mx4ww6 жыл бұрын
This is only an educated guess, but since the kits only come in 3 sizes, if you're in the lower end of the range (IE xxs in the xxs-s range, or L in the L-2XL range) you'll probably have plenty. Otherwise you might want to go a size up or purchase extra yarn outside of the kit for longer sleeves.

Great! Thanks for the quick response !!

I have a question about the 17 repeat. Does this mean I repeat the 4 row section 17 different times? Just don’t want to read this wrong. Thanks. Love the podcast

Lisa Goins okay so I did some digging - from the egde up it will be a total of 17 repeats , thank you!! So if I have 10 repeats total after the sleeve then I make 7 more repeats - to have a total of 17. Not my sleeve plus 17 more
@yoyarngirllisa37166 жыл бұрын
I am doing this panel 8 times. once I start my provisional CO I would need to repeat that panel 9 more times, which gives me a total of 17 repeats from the CO edge. Does that make sense?
@jasminecruz74526 жыл бұрын
Lisa Goins yes, thank you!

Working on the tee ,love it but I have a question,on the set up row of right shoulder at the end it says sl2 purlwise wyif ,is the front towards me,?? I made it to the next row and it left a hole is that right? Like it turned out to be a yarn over ,can someone help me get this thank you 💜
@mearly486 жыл бұрын
I had a question here too, as the working yarn ends up two stitches from the end of the row.It instructs to sl2 purlwise wyif. I wrote to Laura Nelkin, but she is out of the country at present. Did you get your question answered?

@joannabrown55776 жыл бұрын
Smukkebambian, I believe they require the kit purchase to receive the pattern. Unless there is a generous soul that is willing to share their already purchased pattern with you. I, too, would prefer to only purchase the pattern and use my cashmere yarn. But I will knit with the Craftsy kit and gift it...when it is delivered. Who knows when that will be?!

Never mind my question, after watching this video for at least 2 dozen times, I have caught on. What confused me was after the cable cast on , they start talking about the split hem and then the split neckline. This is really a 3 in 1 video.
