If you have knee, hip, shoulder, or other joint pain and you want to get significantly better in the next 30 days, without cortisone shots, physical therapy, or surgery, click this link to request a consultation with Dr. Geier.

In this video, we are going to talk about osteoarthritis and a treatment for osteoarthritis that has been used by many orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals called platelet-rich plasma, or PRP. We will discuss what PRP is and how it might work. Then we will dive into the current research on the effectiveness of PRP for osteoarthritis of the hip and knee.
Dr. David Geier is a triple-board certified orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist, and anti-aging and regenerative medicine expert. Dr. Geier helps you feel, look, and perform your best regardless of age or injury.
Dr. Geier believes that the best way to return to peak performance after a bone or joint injury is to get the injury to heal without surgery. Instead of invasive surgeries with long recoveries and unpredictable results, he uses innovative treatments, medications, and injections. The goal of this approach is not just to decrease your pain, but also to heal your injury and prevent it from coming back. But it’s not just about your injury and recovery. It’s about getting you back to what you love to do - your favorite sport, exercising every day, or even just playing with your kids and getting through your work day without pain. He aims to help you optimize your performance through improved strength, energy, endurance, speed, muscle and more. He wants to help you overcome your injury but also recharge your entire body so that you feel like you’re back in your twenties.

Hello, I'm curious on your thoughts after 2 years since this video went up about PRP... I'm 43 and found out I have severe arthritis in my hips... if I were to use this type of treatment do you think I would be able to go back to playing hockey as a goalie again? Or sould I hang up my skates since it seems that this is most likely how I ended up with arthritis in my hips.

PRP is still a good option for joint osteoarthritis, in my opinion.

Hi. What's your thoughts on exercising in the weeks after prp injections? I've got osteoarthritis in my right knee and am going through a course of 3 injections, with a 6 week gap between each (just had my 2nd) I'm struggling to find clear answers re how long after an injection I can resume exercising (my things are hiking, cycling, swimming, tennis and running) I have however seen mention of resting for 6 weeks after an injection - which if I follow that for all 3 injections, is 18 weeks (i.e. over 4 months) without doing any of the things I love doing. I'm mentally really struggling with the thought of this much time off - exercise is my feel good thing that keeps my head up and stops me struggling.
