Watching this video, I thought about how satisfied I am with my violin amber sunburst PRS CE24 hanging before me on my wall. I've played it three times today alone and it probably won't be the last. It's a guitar you just don't want to put down. It feels great, it looks great, it plays great and it performs great. What more could you ask from a guitar maker? PRS has achieved greatness. They've earned it. With all that I still had no idea just how much scrutiny these guitars were under making their way out the factory doors.

I initially thought PRS were expensive weird guitars. I was kind of forced to buy one because I needed a 24 fret US-made guitar, then I set it up for the first time according to the specifications from the owner’s manual… I have guitars from the usual and traditional big US brands (Gibson, Fender, etc), and none of them conform with their supplied user manuals right off the box, but only PRS got it spot on first time! It remained that way for years without any formal trip to the local guitar service centres for routine setup. This just blew my mind! From then on I will only choose PRS for my future purchases. The QA on these guitars are just insanely good and just what I expect when talking about that passionate American quality and attention to detail. 👌

@@patricksantana3337 Pat - great to hear a friendly voice from the past! Hope you and your family are safe and well. I retired in 2017 and began building guitars as a hobby. I actually just posted a youtube video last week on my most recent build (just google bob ellenson music - there are 11 videos). Its been a fun experience and very rewarding. All the best to you!

Thanks Bob. I checked out a couple of your videos. I never knew of these talents. Good stuff. I hope you don't mind if I bore you with some history of my past with PRS. I had a customer who had a woodworking shop in College Park. His main guy there was named Joe Knaggs. Joe and I became friends. I introduced Joe to some of the automotive urethane clearcoats and he liked them. He called me one day and said he had went to work for this small guitar manufacturer called PRS in Annapolis. Joe introduced me to Paul and Paul started a test on the Glasurit 923-85 clearcoat. He fell in love with the look and told me to never reveal to anyone the product he was using. He then switched to the Glasurit for all clearcoated guitars. Being a guitar guy yourself, I am sure you know that Joe Knaggs went on create his own high-end guitar company that seems to be doing very well. I visited him two years ago in his shop on the eastern shore. Thanks again for the well wishes and wish the same for you and your family.

Blame it on Carlos Santana. Fell in love with his sound and PRS birds inlays guitar, so I got myself a Korean SE 24 PRS flat body red one to fuel my imagination to play like Carlos. I think that the Koreans did a good job, and I believe that one day it may become a guitar collectors treasure? The all in price I paid was $500.00 Canadian.
