I'm going to prune my daughters boxwoods as soon as it stops snowing. Your outfit is so cute!

Please make a video showing how to prune a two and 3 ball topiary from start to finish. Preferably with different trees, boxwoods , lemon Cypress etc. Thank you.

That's amazing! I have an osmanthus burkwoodi in the g4round, that is already five foot tall, that I would like to prune into a sphere. It is just finishing flowering (it is spring here in Melbourne Australia). I believe it is suitable shrub to shape into a sphere. I am going to try this out. You did a fantastic job. Thanks.

Would you please do a video on how to grow large balls? I’ve never understood if you shape them when they’re small like that and let them fill out, trimming less each time, or if you have to start with a larger plant to begin with?

Great video, just came across it right now. I have a question. I have a few boxwoods that that are lined up on near my walkway and I was wondering if it’ll be ok to shape them up during the heat of summer here in California? I want to round them up, but not sure if it’ll damage or “stress” them out during this heat? They’re about 3 years old and I’ve shaped them up before, but can’t remember exactly what month I did it. Thanks

Hi Linda, can I start training a 10" - 12" lemon cypress? Or does it have to be larger and more established? Thanx for all your videos, tips and tricks!! Love them all!

How far apart did you plant your boxwoods in your garden to form a hedge when you first planted them? I just planted some Green Beauty Boxwoods and spaced them 23 inches apart on center. Thanks.
@LindaVater2 жыл бұрын
Depends on how quickly you want maturity. I believe mine were on 15 to 18 inch centers. But 23 inches will be fine

What is the difference between winter gem, green gem, and baby gem? I am new to this and my local nursery didn’t know :( thanks!! Your video is so helpful!
@Dressesndeadlifts82904 жыл бұрын
Main difference is the hardiness and zoning needs. Others are the overall mature size, the color of the foliage and the sheen. I.e. winter gem has a really glossy sheen as if you’d applied wax to it. Very pretty
