I have watched almost all of your videos, and I have to say you have been the most helpful person hands down in my super hot ventures. I have 2 Aerogarden Farm Plus's and a Mylar tent just like yours, and several outdoor plants just because I have so many trimmings and extra seedlings. Your teachings alone have given me a 100% success rate in EVERYTHING I do! I follow your instructions blindly and have never been steered in the wrong direction. I want to thank you for taking the time to experiment and tape your progress in the process. Everything you do is helpful to so many fellow pepper lovers, I can't thank you enough for your help! I am also in Texas (just south of Houston) and I wonder what area you are in? It seems you are a bit further north with the weather patterns you have...

Really loved your video most of all that you showed the progress. I’ve seen lots of videos and there is no after shots or I struggle to find the videos. This was so helpful 😊 thank you!

I wanted to thank you. Your videos got me started indoor gardening. It was the big heads of lettuce that got me. I never had great luck in my yard in New England. I now grow lettuce, Swiss chard, basil, rosemary, parsley, hundreds of mini tomatoes, strawberries and I just started bell peppers. I'm doing my own experiment and I'm growing horned melons cause they cost $6. At the store. It's such a great hobby! I'm so happy to not be risking Roundup exposure anymore! It's always sunny in my kitchen! Thanks!

Great videos, Khang. I have alot from all of your videos. i will be starting my first hydroponics in a few months with a few plants to start. i have always did the traditional gardening, but i will try the indoor thing for the first time. i wanted to share with you that someone had shared with me on how to save money $$ on clay pebbles, net pots, and rockwool. they had mentioned to me about using 1" inch cut segments from a $1.00 swimming noodle from the dollar tree. you can cut a small section from the 1" noodle piece as a buffer to cover some of the center hole in the piece of swimming noodle that was cut. they can be re-used and washed over and over again. they will also fit into the 3" inch cut hole that was drilled in the tote or container which will hold the seedling. im on a budget so i am always thinking of cheaper ways to grow vegetables. just thought i would share that with you. thanks again for all your help.

A few months back I was going to ask if I was watering too much but a profusion of mushrooms sprouting in my pepper pots saved me sending in my question. :)

Hey Khang, great videos and really helpful in my journeys growing chilis. I've had some good success propagating cuttings, and found they develop lots of strongs roots if you skin the bark in narrow strips off the section that goes in the water.. I had one in for 3 weeks and it sprouted a mass of roots around 2 inches long from along the edges where I had shaved the cutting. I had also put a couple of drops of liquid fertiliser to help it along, and now after 5 weeks, it's all potted up and growing nicely.

Last year my mother dog broke off a branch of my pepper plant and took 2 months to root lol I was getting impatient but plant is now going strong :)
@dustinbrown98096 жыл бұрын
nice. rooting time would be a interesting way to pick phenos to breed with. especially the ole cut ina cup method since the plant would have to struggle. have you noticed any difference in rooting times with your crosses?

I had started my pepper plants in soil and they didn't grow so well until I change them into hydroponics with the AIT hose grids. Now they're getting somewhere. I'm not sure when they are going to start setting out fruits but I have had two flower and they all have more branches than before and are getting thicker. Yours looks like it is preparing to pit out more leaves and branches.

Thanks for the video. Is there any specific reason why you didn't remove the flowers from the stems you are propagating in the last segment of the video?

Congrats! Sometimes I get a few that rooted in less than 2 weeks and sometimes a few will take up to 5 weeks.

Should you give it epsom salt via spray during this "recovery" mode? ,

Mr. Starr, I bought 2 hot pepper plants & 1 cherry tomato plant from the nursery, transplanted them into pots in my apartment on Monday. Today, they are all dying. They came with miracle grow so I put that in. Do you have any suggestions on how I can save them? Also, what brand of Cal-mag do you use?

Dang it lol I've been watching your videos and decided to start growing my own peppers and stuff. Is there any nutrients I can use to make my plants grow fast? Like how you use hydroponics is there anything like that so I can use it on raised beds or containers?

Dang i didnt know if it would work just in water thats how easy chilis are to grow. Have u ever thought of buying a clone machine for cuttings?
@KhangStarr6 жыл бұрын
No, I don't need one because I always had great success with my cheap method. Also, I have 2 AeroGarden that I can propagate 25 branches at time each.

this is a little off topic, but i've been wondering if you can taste a difference between your soil-grown peppers or the hydro ones? great video's btw!!

Hey Khang I was wondering if you could help me out with an issue im having with my pepper plants. Last week I Transplanted from indoors to outdoor containers/raised beds and now on a couple of the ghost peppers and a few habanero and my one chinese 5 color all have this 1 issue. Some of the leaves are turning grey and basically drying into a dust. I can't find anything on it and yes I acclimated properlly lol. Thanks
@KhangStarr6 жыл бұрын
Sometimes the acclimated process takes a bit longer for those young leaves to get adjusted to the extremely heat. What I usually do is cut off those large first generation leaves and allow the second generation to grow. The second generation leaves will be much smaller, but are way tougher.
@canadianpepperfarmer61256 жыл бұрын
That's what I was thinking, I ended up removing all the damaged leaves (nothing drastic) and now I'm noticing I also have a chipmunk problem aswell. Thanks for the reply man I really appreciate it.

Does anybody here know what the reason would be for inwards curling leaves on pepper plants ?
