Check out Ghost Vibration (one of the rarest games in UK but more common in France), Azur et Asmar (a 2D platformer), And Knights of the Temple :Infernal Crusade, Knights of the Temple II (also VERY rare in Uk, German version is easier to find). Great video! I also liked the recent Wii one which inspired me to buy Pitfall on Gamecube

FYI for the sideways shooting mechanic of XII Stag, you can assign a button to perform the roll maneuver so that way you don't have to do the stick waggle, also for those that can't get it on PS2, it is also available on Steam under the name XIIZeal and as a 360 Region Free japanese import under the Shooting Love 10th Anniversary Collection

That first game looks really cool. The powers remind me of the old FPS game called "Requiem; Avenging Angel" on the PC. Though that one had a full on "Possession" power which let you take control of almost any enemy and kick off a whole load of NPC infighting! :D

Metal Jesus - I have a question that is off topic - I am starting to collect: NES, SNES and GBA games. Most of without cases, so due to the latter, how should I safely store the cartridges? Is a Ziploc back good enough? What about static from the plastic - will it hurt the internals of the cartridges? The two PS2 games we didn't get that bother me most are the Tales of Destiny (Director's Cut) remake, and its sequel, the "true" Tales of Destiny 2. We didn't get the sequel because Tales of Eternia was renamed Tales of Destiny II in the US, because Mattel held the copyright for the "Eternia" name due to He-Man, so because of that re-name we didn't get the "true" sequel to Destiny. Oh, how that irks me ... even all these years later.

I had no idea many of these were on PAL. Must have been pretty limited releases (especially Gigawing) as I love my PS2. XII Stag's side fire is an interesting idea but its a real arcade stick breaker if you don't use the auto option, the arcade version must have ruined plenty of cabs.

Man! Gregory Horror Show, ive always wanted that game, I saw it in a magazine before it came out, it sounded and looked like a perfect game I was so excited for it! And then it got cancelled, (for just USA release I guess!?). i was so sad. i never knew it came out at all! This makes me want to emulate ps2 games now! I also bought Mr Mosquito 2 - the Japanese game - thinking since my launch ps3 is region free i could play any ps2 game; but no... So it sits there un-played :(

recently bought Forbidden Siren 2 for 40€ in germany (there Im living) (~37US$) it is even pretty hard to find in europe in a good condition. There is a part for PS3 called "Siren Blood curse" same gameplay, also only physicaly released in europe ;)

i know you pretty much optimize the quality of your game footage, and whenever you post ps2 footage, it looks vaguely dark and kind of muddy, so i'm just wondering if someone should do an HDMI mod like kevtris did for the n64. or maybe it would be better just to have an emulator that plays multiple systems that hooks up to a modern tv via HDMI.

Also, Final Fantasy Tactics, Xenogears and Parasite Eve (not Parasite Eve 2) wasn't even released for PAL Systems. (FFT got released for the PSP in Europe later, but that's a different thing)

@@emmychansuper Yes! I had Parasite Eve 2 as a kid and always wondered why I couldn't find the first one. To make matters worse, this was the 90s, and quite often our Playstation mags were the US ones, so I got read all about the awesome games I'd probably never get to play.

I remember playing 7 Blades and enjoying it quite a bit back in the day. And as for Assault Suits Valken, you really want to make sure that you progress slowly and maybe take several different routes, so that you don't end up being surrounded by large amounts of enemies. Also, the shield should protect you from almost every attack, even those that come from behind oder above (or at least it was like that in the original Cybernator). It also helps to find and collect Energy Chips to upgrade your weapons, which is essential if you want to make it far into the game. It's a really fun game overall, but takes some time getting used to. What I don't udnerstand however is, why would they remake it for the PS2? was there any additional content besides the base game? Or maybe it's just a budget title like the Sega Ages games?
