Ps3 secret settings

How to get to these settings that most ps3 techs use to restore your ps3. Plus someone hacked my channel so this music or the captions i didn't add and i cant change them since its had so many views. Plus on top of that this was up loaded using one of the first smart phones and was a accident, but it went viral and some haters started copying it and hacked my account. So Im going to upload some videos about android or PC overclocking or what ever you guys want and i promise i don't sound like Steven Hawkings lol

When it restarted I was told I had an HDMI cable connected and what size was my TV - I knew something was amiss... It resets your theme settings to black and gray. What else I'm not sure but that's the obvious change so far. I don't see that anything other than the themes were deleted (reset). Thanks for the video though I'm sure it worked when you posted it. PS3 version upgrade 2.80 was released on same date as this was posted. So it works for 2.76 or 2.80 not for 4.1

@KaWouterVideo fan test can be performed on PS3 slim as well. Since there is no power button you have to take out the power cable from the back hold eject and power button and plug it back in. :)

It sets Video settings and some stuff to default, but it doesn't delete anything. If you rebuild Database then it will delete messages and playlists (but not the songs themselves). And it (aparently) can delete some Save Game Data that is irrelevant and no longer being used. My friend has rebuilt his Database before, and his PS3 was fine and faster. Option 3 "Restore System" cleanes up your system for glitches and bugs. FORMATING it, yes, that WILL delete everything!

try to reset your controller, use a paperclip and press the button on the back of your controller, it's a small whole next to the middle screw at the top.

You can find most of these on System Settings, except for rebuild database. Go to Settings>System Settings and scroll to the bottom to find these options.

@KaWouterVideo no you can do this with the slim just unplug the ps3 and hold the eject button while plugging it back in :)

This is good stuff. But its pretty easy to f*ck up your PS3 if you do anything wrong, like deleting everything (default back to factory settings). Reason why its "tricky" to do/to get to this setup. Do it with the help of Sony PS3 tech support, they will walk you through this. I can see 68 people screwed up. lol :)

I would try and stress that people don't mess around with any of these unless they're having some issues with their PS3 and have no other choice. It's only takes a second to screw up your PS3 and lose all your saved data, etc..

BTW this is called SAFE MODE. i had to use it to fix my ps3, it was created so that the system can delete corrupted OS software in case of emergency. they ended up adding other features as well. I see you also figured out how to wipe the entire hard-drive (Restore PS3). they are not secret, and can be found through reading the instruction manual. that's why you keep those things

Option 3? it just cleans-up the PS3 for glitches and Currupt Data. It will reset your display settings back to default, thus your theme and resolution will be changed. But it wont delete the theme so you can change it back!!! As far as I know it doesn't delete anything, nothing that I know of anyway...

I did "Rebuild Database" only. It only deleted my messages, and i had to setup my video output. The end result was that my full DLC games are actually loading faster, and with no hiccups during the gameplay (Gotham City Impostors). This is the only option I used, following the video's instructions.

This video wasnt even suppose to be uploaded from my ancient dumb phone this was me just sending it to someones phone and it butt dialed it to my KZbin channel and it went viral so i kept it on here. Its called SAFE MODE. Go to the PS3 support site and search it. Because you can erase file that you might want to save, if you can.

ADVICE TO EVERYONE!!! back up all your data, i didnt and I did the rebuild database.... fine restore file system... formats HDD and I obvs didnt backup so ive lost my data :( so yeah cheers bud so much for doesnt harm any files :'(

!!!WARNING!!! I tried the restore file system-I don't know why, everything was OK, I thought it might make it run better-but it corrupted my hard drive and I had to reformat, losing everything. I don't know if this was because I had put a bigger drive in myself a few months ago and the PS3 didn't recognise it or what. Luckily I have my old back up on the original drive.The poster of this vid says you can use restore file/rebuild database to defrag etc. like on a PC, but be very cautious!

that menu is soooooo not a secret it is the PS3s version of Safe Boot lol when you hold the power button the single beep resets the display settings to default if you are having issues with you screen and the the double beep brings you to safe boot

I turn on my PS3 then it's asking me to restore my database i don't have any other opition but to restore it i can't press circle or nothing i HAVE to restore it so i restore the database, then here i its on 38% and stuck on 38% so now i've been sitting here for 4 hours for it to become complete.

No it doensn't call Sonny support. This is legitimate, I do this too. Restoring the file system keeps you from losing files after your Playstation 3 Crashes, or freezes. It is ONLY good.

Plug your ps3 on a normal tv whit scart. Putt your ps3 on Go to settings and putt evry thing on that's hdmi relatated. Now plug your ps3 on the hdmi and you can play games I hat the same

Not really a secret hahaha. There is something else... if you have the old model (not the slim) then you can perform a fan test.. Just switch the power button off (at the back of your PS3) hold the eject button and switch the button to on.... It also will blow out some dust.....
