For those who don't know the actual different, in terms of specs... Ps4 and Slim are practically the same system but the slim consumes less power. Ps4 pro however has a higher Graphics, CPU and supports 4k hdr. It consumes more power than the other 2 because you're processing higher Graphics. If you don't 4k hdr then it's better that you get the slim.

Bought a ps4 slim in 2016. Got a Samsung 4K TV (UE Series) HDR is activated and console is plugged into the UHD Color Port. Gret picture actually. Really dynamic and powerful colors. So a couple of weeks ago i thought it might be time for an upgrade. So after hearing so much good stuff about the PS4 Pro and it was on offer at my local store, i got for 300 euros (from germany). Set it all up, got all my games and saves over from the other console and started playing days gone. What can i say...graphics where the absolute same. No diffrence at all. But what was kinda diffrent was the volume. Dude...any idea how fucking loud the ps4 pro is?!?!? It's like a freaking Armys Jet in my livingroom. Plus i can't sence any of that extra power the pro is so famous for. Loadingtimes still take forever. Now what on earth should be so special about the PS4 Pro??

Alvin Santoso PS4 Pro has a thing called Boost Mode, it makes games that had unsteady framerate on PS4 base/slim to be steady or to improve FPS altogether. Fall Guys on PS4/Slim runs at 30, Pro runs a 60 but Pro doesn’t have a major change so it’s good and bad in some ways. (Pretty sure Base and Slim PS4 can run Fall Guys at 60 but maybe 60-50 so yeah)

I also don’t have a 4k tv. Don’t want one if the graphics are good enough. I mean damn the ps2 I played and got the ps4 slim and loved it. Also don’t see the point if they are just gonna keep re releasing the same games. I’m actually getting bored of the lack of NEW games. Remastered games I have no interest in. If I buy the standard game then beat it 3 times I will not spend an extra $60 for the same game that was “remastered” most the time the remasters are glitchy. Original games that never had problems end up having problems. Same thing happened when they did it with mafia 3 and never fixed the sound glitch or graphics glitch.

The resolution difference is clear from a PS4 Pro/PS4 standpoint imo just as there is a resolution difference between PS5 and PS4 Pro. As long as you have a good quality TV you're PS5 should max out at 8K Ultra High Definition (7680 x 4320) so there is a difference. The PS4 Pro was also better at making videos than the PS4 was, especially if you were posting those videos to websites or social media outlets like KZbin or what have you.

I used to have a pro which after 2 years of daily use eventually gave up. Few months back picked up a slim for half the price I sold my pro ‘spares and repairs’ for. Some games on the PS4 Pro offer not only graphics boost but also performance boost. Also where are you from? Unless it's a third world country you should wait and save some money to get the PS5. If it's for a kid them get PS4 Slim

Obviously pro is the best. But I actually feel like the slim does well for its size. I used all 3 consoles and tbh. There isn’t that much of a difference between the 3 consoles. However if you are willing to drop the cash. Then get the pro as that is slightly better then the other 2 (or just wait till ps5🤣). But If your looking for something cheaper but still good. Then definitely go with the slim

I have a 4k n i dont think im getting the pro im getting another ps4 slim im not spending 500 because of picture quality if that the case i rather not spend 500 on a console keep it as 300 or less because you buy something that alot of money and ps5 come out than you loss because ps5 is going to be alot better on quality

Ps4 games will never only launch on the pro, I have a ps4 with psvr and will be upgrading to the ps4 pro in order to get better performance out of that but if you already have a ps4 and dont have vr or a 4k hdr tv wait until ps5 which is rumored to be backwards compatible and will play all of your ps4 games anyways
