Does disassembling it to that point void the warranty?

Yes, however you can take out the fan without voiding the warranty. If you're in the US then you don't have to worry about voiding the warranty just by taking it apart as that isn't legal anymore so long as you don't break anything so just be careful.

I'm from Uruguay bro, playstation or sony itself aren't present here Good that i know many places that do console repairs and they work very good, the only bad thing is that those repairs void the guarantee and you'll not recieve a new one@@POTUS118
