Die Psalmen mit ihrem biblischen Ursprung, die Lieder Salomos und Davids, entstanden vor über 2000 Jahren. Das Calmus Ensemble singt den "Psalm 100" mit dem hebräischen Text "Mizmor letoda" in der Vertonungen des italienischen Renaissancemeisters Salomone Rossi (1570-1630), aus seinem "Ha shirim asher li Shelomoh" (1623), der ersten überlieferten Sammlung mehrstimmiger synagogaler Musik, entstanden im Ghetto in Mantua/Italien.

Unter Corona-Bedingungen ist das Calmus Ensemble stets aktiv geblieben und hat in Streaming-Projekten und mehreren sehr erfolgreichen virtuellen Konzerten Kultur präsentiert.
Eines der umfangreichsten Beispiele hierfür ist 👉 MOSAIK - 41 Statements zur Coronazeit.
Hierfür haben 41 Komponist*innen aus zehn Ländern für Calmus eine "vokale Miniatur" geschrieben, ihren ganz persönlichen Blickwinkel auf das Jahr 2020.
Auf einer umfangreichen, eigens dafür erstellten Website präsentiert Calmus das große MOSAIK dieser Miniaturen im virtuellen Raum. Auf 👉 calmus-mosaik.de/ kann man nicht nur alle 41 Miniaturen anhören, einige sind bereits als Videos veröffentlicht. Dazu gibt es zu jedem Werk umfangreiche zusätzliche Informationen zu den Komponist*innen und ihren Intensionen.
Parallel ist das Album MOSAIK bei Spotify, Apple Music, KZbin Music, Idagio und vielen weiteren Streaming-Diensten verfügbar.

The Psalms with their biblical origin, the songs of Solomon and David, were composed over 2000 years ago. The Calmus Ensemble sings the "Psalm 100" with the Hebrew text "Mizmor letoda" in the settings of the Italian Renaissance composer Salomone Rossi (1570-1630), from his "Ha shirim asher li Shelomoh" (1623), the first surviving collection of polyphonic synagogue music, composed in the ghetto in Mantua/Italy.

Under Corona conditions, the Calmus Ensemble has always remained active and has presented culture in streaming projects and several very successful virtual concerts.
One of the most extensive examples of this is 👉 MOSAIK - 41 Statements on Corona Time.
For this project, 41 composers from ten countries have written a "vocal miniature" for Calmus, their own personal perspective on the year 2020.
Calmus presents the large MOSAIK of these miniatures in virtual space on an extensive website created especially for this purpose. At 👉 calmus-mosaik.de/ you cannot only listen to all 41 miniatures, some have already been published as videos. There is also extensive additional information on the composers and their intentions for each work.
The album MOSAIK is also available on Spotify, Apple Music, KZbin Music, Idagio and many other streaming services.
