Portal in 2005. The Test Chambers didn't really change but OBVIOUSLY the look of the game did.

While playing CS:GO, whenever people choose Inferno which rarely happens i always stop by to listen to this track at mid. I found a good position next to the house where it’s hard to get me unless you push so it’s a win win for me.

i think this looks like the combine discover aperture sciense and they make some diferent and later the forgot the instalacion and for some rason a test subjet wake up i create this teory because the portal gun looks like the gravity gun in some versions and in the test chambers some doors have the letters cmb appear and in half life 2 we see that texture of doors in the citadel (that what i think) and the elevators have the combine texture (sorry for my bad inglish)

Sorry for not replying. No, I wont be uploading this because the Portal Beta Developers have released the 2006 version and have told me that the 2005 version is still being developed. Just hang in there it will come.

Jareth Time! At this stage in development, it was the portal gun model. You’ll notice it looks sort of like the tool gun in Gmod. To my knowledge, (not including different textures) there have been 3 different models for the portal gun including the retail model.

This was the first design of the portal gun. It later changed to the Half-Life gravity gun like model and then to the gun we all got.

RSplayerDarktracy123 this was a version that was being remade using the real content from 2005. This version however was not released but a new team is currently developing this and has already made more 2005 maps not seen in this video.

Yeetley • 69 years ago So way back when a few months before I uploaded this, a group of people were in contact with Valve and Valve or a few employees there graciously sent the group of people the real development assets from different points in the game that had been stored over the years. The majority of the content was from 2005 and September 2006 with bits of content and assets from between and around those dates. I was given access to a very small amount of development content such as the two early versions of the Emancipation Grills seen in the September 2006 build and all the different portal effect designs. After playing around and getting some stuff working in the retail build, one member from the group trusted me with the entire asset dump and what you see here is what Valve had created in 2005.

SlimikCs :P Yes; Portal and Portal 2 are based on Half-Life 2. This is at a point where the portal has just been implemented and still uses the HL2 textures.

Yes, the textures, entities and other things in this video were used as "placeholders". Valve designs and creates objects and maps using existing content they have, they later overhaul to create a different look appropriate for their game.

The gun seen here is actually a new asset for Portal. There were constantly two Portal guns being created alongside each other by two different devs. With Aperture being a Combine run facility at this point, the Portal Gun design reflected that and was similar to the gravity gun.

Spielegeschaeft this is not a faked video. The .bsp files are totally different from the retail .bsp files and that's why there are so few as only a few have survived at valve this long. All what you see in this video was remade by a development team in contact with valve. Valve gave them assets, entities, animations, textures and voice files that they saved from the development of Portal.
