Anyone know what to do if your left shoulder button (PSP 1000) is pressing itself constantly after opening the device to clean it? I've looked around on the web, but can't seem to find any clear remedies besides either replacing the ribbon and button assembly entirely or varied methods of cleaning it (has not worked for me). I watched the UMD drive replacement video on this channel and it was extremely helpful for someone who has never opened a console before!

Best thing you can do is make sure the plastic around the hinges are still in good condition and not broken, then check the ribbon cables aren’t damaged either. Otherwise something may need to be replaced

Bought a PSP 1000 and found the spring under the battery cover button missing. I have no idea how that's even possible.

Can't keep the battery cover on without it. No idea where to find a spare.

Wow that is a weird one. I could be wrong but I think you’d have to almost entirely pull the PSP apart just to replace that if you do find a replacement spring

@@TheBygoneEra I was able to pry the battery cover button out with a dental pick so I can easily add a new one in. The problem is I can't find a single listing for the spring anywhere.
