However, the preferences we have can be linked to our overall behavior. According to color psychology, color influences our perceptions and can cause certain emotions in people. Colors can also enhance the effectiveness of placebos. In this video, we will be talking about the characteristics of our personalities based on what our favorite color is.

I fully agree with this! I’m usually stereotyped as liking pink, I have long hair, quite girly, calm and social. I can honestly see why, but still, just because I wear a pink jacket everyday when I go to school doesn’t mean it’s my favorite- Also, there’s this guys in my class who has his favorite color as pink, he’s a real sweetheart and hes not gay FYI. I also hate how people also stereotype ‘soft’ people as liking pink. (People who are nice, sweet, kind, vulnerable etc.) like, just because they act that way doesn’t mean they like pink. But on the other hand I was talking about, soft/pastel/dull pink. Neon pink is a different story, and that’s the pink everyone stereotypes the most.

As a person who’s favorite color is green and is thinking of traveling to the ends of the earth when I grow up, I really can relate to the open-mindedness and wanting to learn about everything. I also want to learn as many wind instruments as possible. But I’m not so sure about the time management skills, I have a hard time with that. 😅 I really did relate to the blue characteristics, I love helping my friends out and would do anything for my friends and classmates!

When I was little, I think I always "made" my personality what others thought it was. My first word was "pretty". So, without knowing it, I was like, "oh, everyone thinks I'm pretty? They think I'm cute? Ok! My favorite color is pink! I'm a female kid, my favorite color is obviously pink! I love candy and I'm a happy person!" But then I sat back and said, "Wait. What is my favorite color? Like for real? What do *I* like?" I thought about all the basic colors and decided on blue. Not because most people like blue, but because I thought it was beautiful. And I still do. Now that I'm older and figuring out who I am and what I love, I can confidently say, *my favorite colors are blue and black*
