Its all situational so it is mostly a mix of Anger Demon, Anxiety Demon, and Guilt Demon, but Self Doubt kind of goes with the anxity or people pleasing nature and fear of failure. Pride or over achieving demon often begets anger demon, so I gained nothing particularly insightful.

My inner demon is guilt, and how psi explains about my inner demon is so shockingly accurate, it scares me. Whenever one of my friends leave a gc in the middle of me talking, I always think that I'm the reason why it's all falling apart. I always wanted to feel like I was the one that needed to contribute to their happiness since I was a bit of "the optimistic friend" in that friend group. But even then, I still felt overlooked & unaccounted for after all the efforts I did, I couldn't even count how many panic attacks I had whenever I was in the friendgroup. But even after all those efforts, I got nothing but a slap to my mental health's face and a beat up session afterwards when one of my friend told me that I was just jealous because I "hated" the fact that my other friend and that friend were best friends. And after that whole situation, I kept on replaying that awful image in my head when everything is going all fine and dandy to the point where I cried. I should really stop thinking that everything was my fault when it wasn't.
@viktoriadandelion2 жыл бұрын
Oh dearest, I relate to your comment a lot. As also an example of the “more optimistic ones” I felt responsible for being the entertainer. Whenever there was an awkward quiet or an argument occurred, I always felt responsible or on the wrong side. It got so far to a point that I didn’t feel confident enough in any of my opinions, because I felt that I wasn’t nearly intelligent or competent enough as my friends. It is truly sad how people can misinterpret your attempts at bringing people together, so much that you loose all of your energy. We cannot give love when we don’t have any for ourselves. Let’s both remember to prioritize our well-being and be the closest friend to ourselves :> I wish you strength on your journey. Remember that only you know yourself best, not what anyone else assumes 🤍🌙✨

Guilt definitely fits me. Every time I make a mistake, I think it defines my personality. I worry that I am someone who constantly screws up. I always apologize, even if I didn’t do what is wrong, or if it’s something that was very minor, I apologize multiple times to make sure everything’s ok. I’m glad that I found out what was going on, and I will definitely use this info to lead a better life.
@veni5126 Жыл бұрын
I've never thought that it defines my personality, but whenever something bad happend in my life or lives of people I know, I always found a way to think it's my fault. My classmate didn't know about an exam. Oh no, what now? I should have texted everyone. I knew about his exam. Will he get a bad mark? Will the teacher let him write it in another time? Should I lie to the teacher that we agreed on something else? Keep in mind I wasn't anyone special in class I mean anyone whos task would be to communicate these type of things. The teacher gave as an easier test as he thought we didn't remember. My classmate really didn't. He should have read the group chat. Anyway, I didn't really lie, but I didn't tell the teacher that as a group we did know about the exam either. And I tried to look stressed and scared but actually I think I really was. Why was I so worried, why did I think it's all my fault? It's not my life, it's my classmate's. Yet I was worrying more than if it happened to me and trying to protect my classmate. I later felt guilty about this all especially when I found out that the teacher found out. I thought it's all my fault. I was considering going to him and explaining everything but he wasn't really a teacher that I'd feel comfortable talking to. I felt bad that he felt bad. I felt bad for all his next students as he said to another group that he'll never extend a helping hand to students again. Yep, I was hesitant about getting guilt, but now, I think it makes perfect sense. I just dint't notice it. I think I somehow worried more about a lot of things than people themselves.

A friend of mine says that there is a study that says we all make 2.15 mistakes every day. Personally, I think that I am making more than that. But if you can allow yourself things that don't have to be "perfect", it might help. For example, instead of making your bed first thing after you get up, try making it after you brush your teeth. You are then allowing yourself to be free to make the bed whenever you want to. And make it imperfect. Leave a corner untucked. Just an idea.

The inner demon of Self-doubt is one with a mien of an oppressor, one that abridges your freedom to be content and have a peaceful mind, but unfortunately for me, its predominance still prevails in within me; depriving me of that essential harmony with myself. Though, at least unlike my dark past, given that I have learned how to control my emotions better and grow fond of myself to some degree, I thus no longer flagellate myself with the whip of the bitter word of beratement for making mistakes or receiving too poor a return. But, even when I have forgone the unhealthy habit of treating myself with hostility; when that harsh inner critic of mine has ultimately been pacified, though not ousted, I am yet still prone to questioning my abilities and my capacities and whether the results I receive really are sufficient and high enough to satisfy me. For instance, I just cannot seem to know whether my writing is creative and interesting enough... >.

@@LtRee96se Even when my self-esteem has finally been cleaved together into one united whole, there is still one problem with it, which lies in the fact that it is rather sensitive and frail. My self-esteem currently is like an ancient block of sandstone. As long as it is untouched, it is sure to stand steadily and remain intact; but if it happens to be faced with a blow, it will thereby quickly sunder and crumble into a pile of hundreds of shreds and fragments. But I do not and cannot know at all when the next blow is going to strike; because firstly, it can always at any given moment collide with my self-esteem on a whim; and secondly, it would be a fallacy to say in the affirmative that the future will bring onto you this and that for certain, when you have not yet pulled the string up to that specific point that is to take place in reality. So therefore my obligation, in the current state of affairs, is to safeguard that self-esteem of mine and also at the same time find ways to consolidate it, to make it more resistent to any sudden quake of doubt, and to let it withstand the pressure of uncertainty.

I constantly feel like I’m going to let everyone down, over-work myself, hold grudges, view my worth as a person as practically nothing and have really quick bursts of temper. Anger definitely suits me. I usually seem like a chill person but there is so much tension built up inside me, and what makes it worse is my habit of not talking about my problems and keeping it bottled up. I even made a whole OC to personify this anger, and the primal instinct to destroy whatever is a threat to my peace. The dark voice in my head that often yells "I want to murder someone". The vicious, animalistic killing machine, wearing a human disguise as if it even matters. But I know what I need to do. I need to find a way to let my tension go, dispose of it in a safe way. Because the chains I forged can only keep *it* at bay for so long...

I had both A and E tied as results, and I definitely agree. I’m a very anxious person and I find it hard to live in the moment when all I can think about is hypothetical situations that might happen and haunt me in the future. I’m scared that all of the achievements and hard work I have gained will come to waste somehow, and it’s not as if I have any authority over what happens, causing me to worry even more. I also find myself struggling with intense envy for others, and many people say I’m very competitive. I also agree with the fact that I’m success-oriented and I feel as though my accomplishments solely define me.

I take pride in myself, and it's true that I've always wanted someone to appreciate me for who I am. Growing up, my mom would say things that made me feel inadequate, and I wanted to prove her wrong. This often led me to set incredibly high expectations for myself, which left me feeling stressed and overwhelmed when I couldn't reach them. Sometimes, I would feel a tinge of jealousy when my friends outperformed me. I'm aware that it's not right, and I've been working on reminding myself to be proud of them regardless. It seems to be helping, but deep down, there's a part of me that still wishes I could do better.

I've taken a kind of stance where, while fighting your inner demon is good for you and your health, one way to fight your inner demon is to also accept your inner demon, that it's as much a part of you as you are of it. It's helped me, because I feel like I can tell far more easily, when it's myself, and when it's my demon speaking. I'm also able to look at it and go 'hey, look. This here, it's not good for both of us. You a part of this ride too, and while you enjoy yourself now, were only going to suffer together. We should work together to make things better for ourselves.' I'm someone who has always kind of had a sympathetic look at those automatically branded evil just because they are a demon or something. They had fallen and couldn't get back up on their own, or didn't think they could get back up. Many may choose it themselves sure and revel in it... but more often than not, did they want too? After all... the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Good people make mistakes, and they should be helped, should they not?

This video really helped me. I dont only have 1 inner demon but 3. Anxiety, self doubt and pride. I often want to overachieve and compete but then I lose and I get into thoughts of self doubt and I start having kind of anger issues I would say and the anxiety is basically there all the time. Anxiety: 1 Guilt: 3 Self-doubt: 5 Anger: 3 Pride: 2 My inner demon appears as a near-perfect replica of me, but shadowy and misty, and with bright red eyes full of hatred and malice. He says things all the time that cross the line from cruel and abusive to straight up EVIL. Since the start of high school all the way through my graduation into a gap year, he has so far: 1. Almost tricked me into thinking everyone hated me and that I would be better off leaving in the dead of night. 2. Blamed me for everyone I knew and cared about who died or who I didn't see anymore, claiming I either drove them away or let them die. 3. Gaslit me into thinking my needs didn't matter and every second I spent living with my parents after I turned 18 was time that I "stole" from them. 4. Told me crying was weak and a sign of uselessness, to the point that I forgot how to do it after a few years and only now am I gaining it back. 5. Tried to gaslight me into thinking that the reason my dad was a little too-mean spirited with his criticism of my chore performance (my dad has issues of his own and is in full midlife crisis so it's not necessarily his fault) was because I was not biologically his and that I was a constant reminder to him of my mom cheating. (This isn't true as my parents have been married for 20 years and never cheated on each other once.) 6. Encouraged me to take my own life multiple times with words like "they'll be better off without you" and "it's just what they should have done as soon as you were born" before deciding that THAT was weak as well and then simply abusing me in other ways. 7. Tried to wreck every relationship in my life, from parents to friends, and make me think I'm alone... and a whole bunch of other awful, horrendous things. I know this guy is just a reflection of how I feel about myself but it staggers me just how cruel my thoughts towards myself (and therefore the words of my demon) can get.

mine was self-doubt w/ guilt being a close second, which is pretty accurate. i'm honestly shocked anxiety isnt higher on my list, but i guess more recently ive been trying my best to be in the mindset of not taking certain scenarios too personally because i cant control everything in my life. things, good and bad, happen and i should try my best to take everything in stride and make do w/ what i receive as well as flip around the bad and turn it to a positive
@olivuthewatermeloon6688 Жыл бұрын
guilt and pride (comment made for myself for later). Both pretty accurate. I feel like I have to push myself constantly to be better and to stand out and be unique, but at the same time I want everyone to feel valued and I struggle constantly between worrying about being unique, I must stand out and do things to stand out, and worrying about being too abrasive, because God forbid if I put myself first someone else must be second, and that's bad for them. So in the end I'm paralyzed, I do things I'm excellent at like art or writing or cross country, I get like first or somewhere near the top, and sometimes I talk about it, but almost immediately apologize because I spoke too much already and the other person needs the spotlight. I literally apologize for looking too good, even though I want others to like me. Even though I desperately crave the attention, I'm not used to it, and if I do get it, I feel like I'm taking up everyone's energy up too much and so typically pass the ball to someone else as quickly as possible because oh no, I have too much pride Ive said too much and now they think Im full of myself even though I want them to acknowledge that Ive done maybe cool things.

I pushed myself so hard that I ignored my own bodies injuries. As a result I most likely don’t have much time left to live. I have yet to tell my family. I might not even tell them. When I was younger I suffered from Steven’s Johnson’s Syndrome for over 4 months. I still have symptoms about a decade later. I lost most of my talents due to the amount of time I was in the hospital and the subsequent recovery time. Yet I have yet to recover. I ignored my health and now it has come back to bite me. I also refused to get help from others as I felt that if I want to become stronger I must be able to do so on my own. I cannot be of any use to anybody if I cannot do anything for myself. I continued to push forward despite everything that I forced onto myself. I have already accepted my fate. If I did then it was because I chose to be a fool. I was foolish in the way I lived. I will never be able to amount to anything if I am dead. Yet I still pushed myself too hard. So my only advice here is simple. Don’t push yourself too hard. If you push yourself beyond your limits then you will break yourself in the end. There are limits that you can break and limits that will break you. However these limits are always there for a reason. I ignored my limits and in the process broke myself. Accept the help of others as everybody has their limitations when they are alone. However as a group our unlimited potential can be realized. And with that I will take my leave.

I’m sorry you pushed yourself. I’m the opposite becuase I don’t feel I can do things like speak, answer questions, act like myself, even participate in things that I love doing (gym, running, art, ect..) so I’m an underachiever I think so at least. I beat myself up if I don’t get what I know I could be getting, all A’s for example. Switched schools a lot as a kid and went through my years where I was learning basics of multiplication and division as a result almost failed my math, that year was rough. I used to cry over the simplest things like getting a warning at school for talking when I was in first grade. When I was in sixth grade I barley talked to anyone and kept my head in a book, I felt uncomfortable taking of my jacket or putting on a coat or changing my shoes fearing I’d be judged. I sometimes would feel upset when people spoke to me badly, I smiled and hid it though. I talked sometimes to people around me but I always acted. No one ever knew the real me, after school I’d be me around my mom but even if I was upset at home i’d smile and cry myself to sleep that night. Not much has changed but sixth grade was hard. I hope you end up being okay.

This is probably the most balanced I've been throughout quizzes like this, but it was hard to pick which one applied the most in general A - 1 (Question 6) B - 2 (2 and 4 C - 2 (5 and 7) D - 1 (Question 3) E - 3 (1, 8, 9) So for the results because I feel like rambling: Anxiety being A. This used to be the thing that dictated everything I did in life (and is one of the main reasons why I try so hard to be good at everything). After socializing with people in VR, I've gotten over that because I got to see so many more perspectives and different types of struggles people had than I was ever able to see IRL. People in my town are rather quiet, you really gotta force conversations outta people to talk to people in my town. B being Guilt - The description fits especially back when I had lots of anxiety, but I never feel guilty. I do what I can, and some things I just do not know. I would have avoided them if I knew. C being self doubt - Anxiety making me want to show I'm the best person possible is one reason, the other reason is playing lots of very hard video games as a kid and they were the only things that made me happy. So if I didn't want to experience being a failure 24/7, I had to put in more effort than anyone else so I could beat the video games that no one else could beat. Once again, being in VR has calmed me down with this a lot. D being anger - I've never been an angry person because I learned from hard games that being angry won't solve anything. The problem is still going to be there if you are angry, so just spend time figuring out the problem, after all solving puzzles can be fun! Only time I got angry often is when I was hallucinating from sleep deprivation from working too many hours, and I kinda didn't let anyone talk to me so no one reminded me to get some sleep. It was just work, chores, sleep. I've now learned from this. Also, I get on everyone's case when they do something that makes it so they don't get the sleep they need, hallucinating was scary. If you have troubles comprehending just how the world is, alongside having troubles with emotions, it's just a recipe for disaster. E being pride - With video games always having some sort of extra special thing for getting 100% or completing it in a way that requires you to master everything, it makes me try to master everything in life. Which makes it so whenever someone needs help with something, it's very simple and easy to do since it's nothing compared to the mountain of things I try to do in life. After watching Berserk and seeing the positive effect Griffith had one people (except for when he made that one big bad decision), I try to do my best to improve in every aspect of life and hope that shines onto other people to make them want to genuinely want to improve themselves so their life becomes easy. Sort of the ol' "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime" mentality.

A: 3 B: 3 C: 2 D: 0 E: 1 This was all honestly really accurate. I’ve been plagued by anxiety and guilt, with toppings of self-doubt and pride my whole life. While I’ve figured out ways to work past the demons over the years, the feelings still linger in the back of my head and it’s hard to get past them. I’m surprised by the quiz results not just recognizing my demons, but also how it puts them on an accurate scale based on how much they haunt me. My anxiety, guilt, and self-doubt don’t go to crazy levels, yet they do exist. And I definitely have that hint of wanting pride and validation from others. The fact that I got 0 on D is also accurate as I’ve never had any struggles with managing my anger (this is where the self-doubt comes in). Overall great quiz, would recommend anyone to try it!
