How can i get toxip people out if he is my bro :0
@burgerkiller44383 жыл бұрын
ok, I need people to argue with me because I can literally find something I disagree with in every single one of your advices: 1. Stop comparing yourself to others: I am an above average student, I managed to get into the best highschool in town I have always had good grades I won or did very well in a lot of competitions, but for me it was not enough since I knew I could do more, and when I failed I felt bad about myself. When I would say things like I am bad or I am stupid my friends would say things like: "well you are smarter than most of your peers don't be so hard on yourself". That...made me feel better. In my case the better advice would be TO compare myself to others, and knowing that just reversing an advice makes it work sometimes as well and that it basically exists for you to just feel better and not as acual advice, it makes it empty. 2. Don't worry about other's opinions Now this is almost like saying don't worry about paying taxes. Your relations with other people and other people's opinions about you **matter**. In fact just being a dick might make you lose your friends, since you become the toxic person you yourself recommend to let go. Ignoring other people's opinions can make your whole life lonely. Being nice or trying to be nice is a good thing, not a bad thing. 3. Allow yourself to make mistakes. Well there is one thing we can agree on, mistakes are bad right? Well accepting your mistakes as normal things can make you ignorant to them and stop you from self improving. I mean if your mistakes are ok why should you put effort into not doing them? This mentality is obviously stupid. 4. Remember your value doesn't lie in how your body looks. I mean, if we are to ignore other people's opinions, your value is what you think it is, or rather what you decide it is. For a super model or culturist (idk if this is a word in English I mean people who grow muscles competetivly), how their body looks is the most important thing ever. For you, I mean you decide. If we are to take into account other people's opinion, we all judge based on looks at least somewhat. If you are fat, if your hair is all over the place, if you haven't taken a shower in ages. 5. Don't be afraid to let go of toxic people Yes so this person is being mean almost all the time, he tells me that he has suicidal toughts because of problems he has in his family. Other people aren't inclined to help him because of his behaviour and he understands that it is bad,but says he is unable to change. He constantly tells you abou his problems and asks for help without ever doing anything to better himself. Oh what I should just stop talking to him and just kinda hope he doesn't kill himself when one of his last friends leave him? Without feeling morally accountable in any way as in that is acually the rightious, good and moral decision? Oh cool thx for the advice bro.

I'm on my self love journey. I started last year after lock down. I was always out initially, out dancing, out for happy hours, out for everything I could possibly find, but never ever dared to just stay home and build confidence, self compassion and awareness. Lock down changed that. Very challenging at first and still is sometimes, but very much worth it. I associate with people from a much higher ground. I am happier, calmer and more myself. I meditate, pray, journal and it has calmed my spirit a lot. I go to my inner child a lot and draw from her. When I was younger, my parents loved my sister more, I was compared negatively to her. Also, my dad was abusive and our household was so chaotic and frightening for me as a child, so it led to this self hate and lack of self confidence. But, hoping to work on it, and be a better person
@aurora_boketto77463 жыл бұрын
Thats crazy! It was the exact opposite for me. I started after lock down to but I mostly stayed to myself and spent most my time texting instead of actually hanging out with my friends. Lock down made me realize I missed that one to one interaction and face to faceness. Since im super introverted it kinda shocked me. I started going out more and just being in nature, I journal more to now (it rlly is so calming^^lol) I dealt with abusive parents to- im really sorry you had to go through that I hope you're doing better now and that someone can treat you right to make up for that :( How is your journey going now? I'm finding self love is one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. Coping with self hate mainly. I still seek validation due to having a neglectful dad so I found that was the hardest part.- creating love within when you cant really explain it, and meeting ppl who can give you that kind of love is pretty hard. I'm proud of you for making the change you needed
@jewlzn71303 жыл бұрын
@@aurora_boketto7746 I'm so happy reading your message. Lockdown was definitely a turning point for most people, I think we all had to find ways to cope. I think for me there was just so much of the same constant negativity and never questioning the validity of the negative thoughts. I am happily on my journey still. I think the worst is behind me. After abuse or any kind of trauma, there's an inner child in us that hasn't grown that is the source of a lot of our negativity. We have to reparent that child and bring her to the surface. I do a lot of affirmations, some while I'm sleeping. But some whilst awake. I question my negative thoughts and trust in my intuition more. Things will be fine. Im sending you virtual hugs cause I know that missing love from a parent is so hard. Affirmations have helped me to stop seeking so much external validation. They've helped somewhat. But, im in a place where I trust myself more. And with self trust, I also know that even if I make a mistake, things will be fine. So, im doing good😊

Fantastic video! I've discovered that a common obstacle to self-love is the internalized negative voice from our parents. When we affirm to our inner child with statements like "I love you as you are," "You are important to me," and "You can trust me," the internalized parent often makes it feel like we're deceiving ourselves. Actively highlighting our flaws, it strives to prevent us from embracing self-love. Thus, a crucial step in cultivating self-love is often replacing this internalized parent and boldly telling it to leave us be.

You might be surprised to find how much healing happens in your surroundings when you start to live in self-love. Although especially at the beginning you might run into many issues, because you're growing and start to change and not everyone around you may like or support that change. But once you're through with shedding whoever cannot follow (and there's no judgement in this), even if noone is left, there'll still be you. And that self-loving you is a compass and a magnet in life. It's such a relief to know your pace and communicate it. People who came along or come in might surprise you with not only being accepting and loving, they'll also eventually feel something that maybe could be described as "the social permission to do the same". Because even if we technically require no permission, it's still significantly easer to do something (or not do something) when there's no judgment and resistance to overcome.

No matter how much other people can love us, we won't be truly content if we don't have the space for it ourselves on the inside. The kindness and compassion we so easily give to others? We need to extend that towards ourselves too 💓 Hope we all choose ourselves today and every single day. I'm still in the process of healing from my own trauma. Recently I've made major changes to my life that people around me have noticed. One of these changes was I used to be so selfless that I put others first. In turn this hurt me a lot and only added stress to my plate making me unhappy. Recently I've started saying No and putting myself first or saying that I am gunna finish what I need first then help others. In turn my sister noticed this and was mad at me. She told me that self care is a good thing, but that I'm being selfish by putting myself first. I told her "No, to have self care you need to be a little selfish. There's no way you can take care of yourself without being a little selfish. It's okay to put yourself first. I've always put others first, now I'm learning to put myself first and that's ok. It's what I need for my own happiness and is healthy." She in turn tried making me feel guilty and told me I was selfish. Then she continued to try to tell me what I needed to do to not be selfish. She said instead of her helping my dad with his projects that I need to. I told her "I don't have to help anyone I'm not willing to. If I wanna focus on myself because all I've done for years is focus on others then I can do that. If you don't wanna help our dad with his projects then say so, but don't try to guilt trip me into doing what you want me to. I'm always gunna look out for myself first, then others. If everyone is drowning and I put on my life vest first then I can help a lot more people. Otherwise if I don't someone could drag me down with them and I could drown, or I would get exhausted from trying to stay afloat while trying to help everyone. You can't let yourself exhaust all that energy helping others to the point that you hurt yourself." She got really quiet and thought about it. Although she still felt bothered by my choice, she knew her opinion and what she wanted wasn't gunna happen. I wasn't going to budge and do what she wanted. I wasn't going to put myself last again. Some people will challenge you when you start putting yourself first, but don't let them push your boundaries. Stand strong and keep doing what's best for you. Her opinion hasn't changed, but she has left me alone about it. Never feel bad for taking care of yourself, and make it clear to others no matter what they want of you that you ultimately will do what makes you happy. That their opinions won't change what you choose out of your own best interest.

"Part of loving yourself is feeling and expressing these (difficult) emotions without criticising yourself." I will be hanging this quote on a wall so I can see it every day and I will be reminded of this. That might help me get through some rough patches.

I really appreciate this. A lot of people say it’s bad to let go of anger or bad emotions, when really. It’s the healthiest thing you can do for your mental health.

It has been over two years that I follow your channel and it has heleped me A LOT in my journey to understand what the root of my problems where, what my trumas are and how to work with and around them to build a better version of myself. It has been a very long while I have been working on accepting and learning how to like myself first and then even love myself! What you said in the video about following your heart even if people around you pressure and expect you to follow a certain path resonates SO much with me. I'll be an history of art major soon but that ain't for me, I'm finishing this thing out of desperation at this point, I wanna go to academy of art right after this hell is done and NO ONE in my family understands or supports me- my own brother even criticizes me going as far as he can to spread his toxicity in my life. He thinks the only path possible is anything similiar to his own. My parents seem to understand that art is the onlt thing meant for me tho, at least that. I really needed this video, I have no words to thank you. Keep your work up, the people you're helping without even knowing are countless!! ✨️

I'm in the process of loving myself, my therapy just started a few days ago and I'm really happy to finaly start my life, I feel like it's really going to help me. Thank you for making those videos, I was so scared to go to therapy, it took me so much time but now and thanks to your videos I'm here and I'm starting to heal, I'm also starting to accept myself for who I am... I actually am for the first time in my life proud of myself and I'm ready for this, I'm ready to learn how to love myself... Thank you again. You helped me a lot like my friends did too. Please continue with making videos. And to all who reads this, if you feel like something is wrong with you. Don't ever be scared to look out for help, they will hear you and listen to your thoughts, they will show you that you are worth of living, loving and being happy. Never be scared to be yourself, you are precious and worth of being loved. ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for this:) i kinda needed to hear that it's okay to feel crappy. At a previous job a coworker would say that if i was grumpy or sad that i was one of those people that could influence everybody around me. Kinda anoying if someone tells that to you because it made me feel guilty and angry for laying that presure on me:/. So yea im trying to accept it if im feeling like crap and need time to heal.

I think the hidden art of society is hiding our emotional scars and traumas best by leading our identities with our bodies, appearance, educational credentials, or income. The majority of our confidence stems from the external validation we recieve ; while internally we're all screaming for that same validation and worthiness from ourselves! YOU ARE LOVED. Believe it first, and others will have to go along with it😊

Ways I practice self love -meditation -praying -taking some R&R long warm baths listening to my favorite songs -sleeping in from time to time -making KZbin videos that I enjoy making for fun -singing to myself in my room -dancing by myself -knowing when to back away from certain situations and to put my foot down -talking to my self continuous (myself). This is very helpful to me. I'm still in the process of self care or self love. I've been giving to much to my family and others that I've forgotten how to take care of my self too. I need to go through some heartaches before I got a wake up call that self love is also important.

I really liked the emotional healing part of the video. Because I have come to realize that we all need different things at different times in our self-love journey. Right now I am cultivating patience without being complacent. I used to think self-love was about doing and saying whatever you wanted at any given time. Got into a lot of trouble and mental health issues. But now I see it is about what we NEED. Taking care of the basics like good sleep, eating right, physical activity, hygiene... Then you get specific on other areas like being social, and trying to be a better friend/daughter/whathaveyou; working hard towards a career or job you don't hate... And finding the right balance. All of these things are important, and depending on each moment in life one thing takes priority over another. Only to me, personally, nothing will ever be above my mental and physical wellbeing ever again. If you are not okay, nothing else will be.

I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day..gifts, chocolates, and spending quality time with your partner. I’m single and to be honest I prefer spending time with myself. Because I’m a kind of person that gets easily drained from focusing, so much on my career, and studies. Thanks for making this. I’m a spiritual person, and I like to practice mindfulness by doing meditation for anything including self-love.

I meditate at least once a day, twice if I can. Being alone with yourself sometimes can be a very healthy thing. I journal for shadow work & read a lot of books in my free time. I also like to take herbal baths. Choose herbs & essential oils that correspond to your self-love intent, make a tea and pour it into your tub. Then soak up the good vibes and scents with a candle or two. Those are my self-love activities. I will be adding exercise back in today and attempt to do it every other day at least! Fingers crossed! Starting this self love journey has been the most difficult thing I've ever had to do. I am putting myself in a position to actually convince myself that I am worthy love and that its possible to love me for who and what I am. My days are exactly as what was stated in this video......I still have so far to go to even see the beginning phases of this, albeit my therapist says otherwise. I'm not giving up(so says on one of my up days 😌) and every day I find something about myself that makes me want to build and improve upon. I am thankful for channels such as this and the positive side of yt, because I have to do this alone(no friends, no family) and the weight of it at times feel heart numbingly despairing, however I am someone to love and even if no one else does, I will. Day by day and hour by hour, I truly believe that its worth it, because regardless of what I was brainwashed to believe, I am worth it.....my apologies for the long post. Thank you for this amazing content. Please continue as long as you are able

Recently I started to realize how many of my friends don't love themselves. It saddens me, and also it shows me more clearly why do they struggle so much. I always tell them that I know self love is hard, but the first step is to make peace with ourselves. We tend to judge ourselves way hursher than we judge anyone else. It is only natural, but we dhould give ourselves some slack. "If I met someone who was exacyly like me, what would be my opinion on them?" I think that many of us would like ourselves. So why all the stress? Being able to understand ourselves, befriend ourselves and forgive ourselves is so important

I created a scale system! From 1 to 10. On how much I give myself vs others. I love to keep it around 5 for me and 5 for others. That means majority of the time we are equals. Sometimes when I am being selfish it might be 7 for me and 3 for others. It can vary ! Try this assessment ! Super easy. One love family. #healed #healing #loveguru #selflove #selfmastery #kindness
