Well (1) you don't need to have lots of money or have a successful job to be in a relationship. It is necessary to have a job so you can stand off your feet and pay bills. But it should not be a necessity that you are rich to be in one. My boyfriend works at a job he plans to quit soon and I'm starting out on my art career but we work out just fine. Money should never be the glue that hold two people together. (2) Not true either. Actually, being in a relationship requires you to be vulnerable. When you mess up, you should be humble enough to say sorry. And sometimes hurt can be long-term. I am currently suffering anxiety right now but it's something my boyfriend and I battle together. Whenever I get an anxiety attack, I go to him to help me overcome it, not because I want him to solve it. He knows methods to help me and inspire me overcome anxiety. (3) Having too high standards is not good but so is having low standards or none at all. My one standard for a guy when I was single was the he's gentle and slow to anger and that is it. When I got to know my now-boyfriend and then-crush, I discovered he is those things and more. Don't lower your standards just to have a relationship. Having principles in life is what's gonna make you a strong person. (4) Debunked again. When you're in love, you're more than terrified to lose the one you love. Life is unpredictable and death is no discriminator and that is scary. You need to be able to communicate your fears to your partner and battle it together and overcome them. It still scares me that I could lose my boyfriend so quickly. But I have to remind myself to stay in the present and enjoy my time with him and make the most of our time together as I can. As to being needy, that's a different issue especially if your partner has mental health problems. You are a team and you should help them battle it. Clingy-ness is another story. That's the lack of trust and respect. You shouldn't be in a relationship if you won't let your partner be themselves and be okay with them hanging out with other people. And I say this because I've been in a relationship for a year. Your partner will never be perfect and neither can you. It's either you accept that you both can't be but you can always strive to be the best versions of yourselves together or you can stay alone, trying to find a perfect partner or tire yourself out to try to be perfect when you can never be.

I'm in an LDR relationship and I can tell you that is not the case. People who are in a relationship for the sake of having a bf or gf do PDA because they want to flaunt an show off and are pretty arrogant people. But sometimes, people display affection because it's genuine. Their partner might be scared or worried about an event or going on a ride in a theme park, they might need to calm down from being so excited, or they're just happy. Don't judge couples just because they look happy. Too much PDA is bad but a little smooch is no harm either. And since I am in an LDR, I am usually by myself. It's not weird. If you feel weird for being alone while you're in a relationship, that's not healthy and you are overthinking. You need to be able to have your own identity while being committed to someone. And, yes. Relationships are work. But if it's someone you genuinely love, it's worth it.

The first time I've ever been on a relationship, is both me and her have dedicated ourselves hiding our relationship. Just letting necessary people to know it. Family and our own wingman or wingwoman. And yeah, 6 people or less only know about it. Just because of that alone, we weren't focused on other's opinion, we were happy with each other being ourselves in the process, we were always focused on each other's problems or success for the day without having misconceptions from anybody else's. To be honest, i kind of disagree. If you're in a relationship, its okay if you need help fixing yourself. As long as the relationship isn't JUST to fix yourself, its always good to get some help. Also, walls dont get put down just like that. Walls are things that stay up and can be put down by other people. If someone can put down your walls and help you feel better, then they're a good person to date.

Someone once told me that when a person wants to start a relationship with someone who is working on themselves and is honest about those issues - it's that person's decision to make. This is silly, but... I’ve always felt like I’ve never been good enough for a relationship, that if anyone took interest in me, then started dating me, they’d be disappointed. She is hurt girl but her character isn't what I want in a real woman and ik she thinks of me as just an ex. I just saw her today and I think she is gonna go out on a date tommorow well, today. I heard her talking to a guy , like making arrangements. I stopped talking to her for like freaking two whole years, we go to same church. But yeah I met her though in middle school. I would go out with her twice over the yrs. Iam now 21 she's 21 also. We both have jobs , well I don't right now. But ik as a man it may not look like I have my life together,but that's not true. But a couple of weeks ago I messaged her after these two long years u could say I was almost waiting. Cuz at the time two yrs ago she had a bf. But until recently I asked do you still have a bf? She didn't say anything. But it's kinda obvious , cuz her bf stopped coming to church like a long time ago. So I just waited patiently until this very year. I asked her. She didn't say no ,but I know she doesn't cuz well yesterday I see her talking to this guy Making like if they are setting up a date tommorow or something it weird. I mean we are and were good friends over the years. I guess she doesn't want to be with me but I'm thinking the two of us aren't looking for what we think we are . I'll give an example one time I kissed her so passionately u know idk if she liked it but I think it was only lust filled like we like each other we have chemistry , good friends, but when we do stuff the sexual attraction the sexual tension is up,and I think we both only like each other for that. Not a real love. We are good friends but maybe we are looking for more than. Just making love we looking for soul mates not some summer fling , but a relationship. I think that's why she and I aren't going out. And I asked her out,but she makes excuses like well u only ever see me in church. And I'm like we all know that's Bs we texted each other all the time. We seen each other outside of church. Not just on Sundays either keep in mind we did she each other in school. I mean but i have come to the conclusion that either she just doesn't want me I highly doubt that cuz all these years we have a good friendship. Or she is afraid to go out with me cuz Ik she's been hurt so many times in the past cuz I've seen it when we were not dating. I've seen it with other dudes. But through all that I can't see why she wouldnt go out with me other than that. So idk maybe we both looking for something more. But what I think IAM looking for is at least having sex at least once to know what it's like cuz I'm thinking in my mind if I try this I'll feel complete and then I'll want to settle down and be a loyal person. But that's all a lie the world teaches u is to have sex. U know like in movies and have love at first sight crap. Please. It's wasn't with her. It took time and effort to talk with this girl and I know I shouldn't be proud of going out with her cuz IAM a Christian and let me tell u it's wrong to have sex before marriage it's a sin and especially even me just kissing her I ruined my purity cuz idk if I end up with another woman now that first kiss is ruined. And me thinking about sex earlier ruining my virginity well that would also be messed up . U don't learn anything from having sex it's not like well let me have sex with this many women and maybe I'll be satisfied no love don't work that way. And maybe ive been looking for a relationship (love ) in all the wrong places.

I always imagine having someone special but the moment someone gets close to me, I would step away. It doesn't matter if I like the person or not. I once liked this guy years ago then he started courting me but I intentionally and unintentionally did things that made him stop. I'm curious on how it feels like to be in a relationship but I don't think I'm ready for it. I should know and care for myself more before I can give that love and care to anybody else.

Trying to help someone out of their bad habits makes you feel like you're in control of them and they usually ignore you or start to feel like you look down to them . the only one that I really feel like applies to me is #2. the rest I've pretty well worked through. I've never experienced #5 because I've never had an ex or ever been in a relationship for that matter. I may be almost 21 but I've enjoyed being single, it's not that I couldn't ever get a date (I've had plenty of guys ask me out) but I would always get to know them on a friendship level before ever deciding to take it further, I honestly found that it was more effective for getting to know them than just jumping straight into a relationship (yes, I'm fully aware that I already said that I've never been in an official relationship before) When I was younger (around ending of middle school/beginning of highschool) there was a boy that kept pressuring me to date him (But I felt like I was still too young to be in a relationship since every relationship I saw other people have that were around my age always ended in disaster or some major break up, so I figured that if most relationships were going to end like that anyway, then what was the point of getting my heart broken?) I didn't want to date that guy either way. He was a major nerd and I'm not really into that as much.
