I like yandere songs more than I care to admit but this one was really fun to do! Thanks so much DECO*27 for another great hit, and thank you to OTOIRO for the amazing video aaaaa. Honestly I wonder why she stabbed him at the end since it looked like he was just bored and was curious about the outside but i'm not a yandere so I guess I'll never know...
Although, this past week or something, some rando contacted me calling me "chara" (from undertale fame?) claiming it was the nickname my boyfriend called me... and when asked who this bf was, it /wasn't/ my actual bf, but was someone who claimed I cheated on my actual bf with? And here's the craziest part - when I told him it wasn't true, and that i was dating my current bf, replied with "bullsh*t" both in my dms and my mentions???? LIKE?? all my discord mods (who have known me for years!) told him the same thing when he popped into discord and into my twitter mentions... and he replied in basically the same fashion... kids these days, am i right? "orz

It looks like this story is about someone trapped in a physical and emotionally abusive relationship with someone, but they don't want to leave because they've fallen in love with the person when they're kind and happy to them. And in the end, it brought nothing but harm to them. It's so sad.

I think the reason she stabbed him at the end there is because she probably didn't want to risk "losing" him and probably thought he wanted to leave when he opened that door. So in her mind, it's just better off to just kill him so he stops moving and she can look at his face all she wants. #justyanderethings

It's a metaphor. Him hugging her back shows that he accepts his fate with her, and how she "kills" him symbolizes something like him not being able to leave anymore. It's explained better by someone else on the original Psychogram video from Deco ^^

I put the whole discussion as there is even more interpretation spot-on in Saks Oh I see, so this is a song about unhealthy and emotionally abusive relationships. Things like constantly checking where he is, and wanting him to only thing of her ("Hey, if not me, who would you choose" sounds like a particularly dangerous statement), and effectively isolates him from the life he once had (as seen in 0:42). Love that part around 2:05ish where he sees her true nature hidden behind closed doors (aka their private life), and tries to close his eyes and shut his ears (doesn't want to accept it and be hurt), and soon she returns to the "I love you and I'll protect, but never leave me ever" phase of her character. It's a constant cycle of dragging him in and then hurting him, only to be loving again when he gets afraid and wants to leave. She's chaining him down, but he's become so dependent he can never truly leave her. The tragedy is that eventually this constant cycle of abuse ends in his own death, leaving him unable to escape. I don't think the death was meant to be literal, but rather figurative. At this point, he's been so broken that he can never leave her and her toxic love. Moral of the Story: If someone is abusing you, even if it's not physical, the best course of action is to find help. Sometimes, it's not safe to try and up and leave by yourself. There are people whose job it is to help victims of abuse. No one deserves to be treated like this, and, unfortunately, the cyclic abuse rarely ever fixes itself. kirraril I would like to add that the mauled rabbit at the beginning, and the hanging stuffed animals at 1:33 might be hinting at previous abusive relationships where she’s ‘killed’ the other person. Fridge Cryptid Chippy I thought the 2:05 part was rather him trying to escape the relationship and others reaching out to help him, but due to manipulation and isolation, he'd see them as these monsters out to hurt him. The girl shooting them down with her finger is her shooting down the accusations of her being abusive, turning them into toys to laugh them off as being just silly. Fridge Cryptid Chippy The different stuffed animals could also represent other people as well. The stuffed bunny that's ripped apart on the floor has it's mouth taped shut, like she had shut somebody down who was trying to help the boy. The only reason I initially assumed that the mass was her, was because when he was "hiding" from it, she appeared in front of him (on the side of the monsters) rather than behind, so I interpreted that as her "returning to her true form, and shooting away her bad side", but your interpretation makes a heck of a lot of sense! Dang I love this PV! Laundry Basket "Hey, if not me, who would you choose" I think that means.. 'You know, you have no one else but me, so why leave?' Saks @Laundry Basket Interesting! I saw it as a question with no real answer. In her world, there should be no one else he would choose. Even if she didn't exist, she irrationally would want him to never want anyone else. Any answer except "no one", would only be met with her psychopathy. Remvaj @Saks How could you represent that as the song progresses to the part where she shoots the "monsters" the child's hair becomes redder every time time passes? sorry for the translation, I speak Spanish and I also have theories about what the song and the video means Saks @Remvaj ​I'd love to hear some of your theories! Hmm, well one of the verses in the song is "It's becoming more vivid as it becomes heavier", so perhaps it indicates that the redder his hair color gets the more distanced he is from his original self (black hair), the more affected he is by his controlling relationship with her (thus the meaning of "heavier"), and also the more he's beginning to become a vivid color just like her thus being influenced by her, and eventually becoming delusional. I don't think this is a "yandere" story more than a more common yet still extremely abusive one. The girl saw the boy, and out of what I'm going to assume is loneliness and abandonment issues (as we see when those people leave the girl alone right before she sees the boy), decided she was going to enter a relationship with him. The boy said yes, probably for no other reasons than "oh it's a girl I have to say yes", "me and the boys getting girlfriends", or pure anxiety over saying no. Due to the girl's abandonment issues, she tried to isolate him, making sure that he wouldn't leave like the others. The boy noticed this, but due to manipulation (the bandages), he complied. He wasn't happy or sure about the relationship anymore, but he was already alone. He had no one else with her. The boy wasn't able to tell the girl he loved her anymore, because it would be a lie. The girl, desperate not to be abandoned, lied and manipulated him into staying, even when he didn't love her by convincing him no one else loved him and that she was the only one who could. She tells him that she loves him and asks him if he loves her back. When he doesn't respond, she tells him that "she doesn't need him anyway" as a gaslighting tactic to keep him with her. I think the sweets in the second verse represent the 'love' and affection she gives him. There's a lot in the bag, showing us that she gives him a lot of her 'love'. However, there's only candy and junk food in there, representing how her love is toxic and bad for him. If we look in the background, the room is full of kids toys. He isn't surrounded by things that would keep him happy, but toys that would keep him safe. This brings me to the room we see the girl in at the beginning and after the first chorus. There are blue spiderwebs and more kids toys hanging from the ceiling. I think that the spider webs further show how she's an emotional predator. The toys hanging from the ceiling don't have much of a meaning at the moment, so I will be delving into that later. The boy tries to get away, but when he opens the door he sees monsters. Due to his warped perception of things from the manipulation and abuse that the girl put him through, he sees the people that are reaching out to him as monsters (read: manipulators and people who want to do nothing but harm him). A few lines before this, the girl was telling him to tell her where he was, meaning that he wasn't there wherever she was at the moment. She figured out that he tried to run away, and came to his 'rescue'. She tells him that he's safe with her and to never try to leave again. This is when she makes the finger guns and shoots through the shadow monsters. The boy looks terrified watching this happen, and then the girl turns around to look at him. When she turns around, the monsters in the background turn into toys and she smiles. Everyone can guess why the monsters turned into toys. She killed them and made it look like it was just a game. But remember the room with the spiderwebs and the toys hanging from the ceiling? Yeah. She's done this before, but not in front of the boy. That's why they turn into toys. She's already done this before in private, so doing it here isn't much. Then, we are brought to where the boy goes up to the girl and hugs her. He decides to accept her feelings, so that no one else would be hurt. And then the girl stabs him. I do not take this as a literal stabbing, but more symbolism for her completely crushing his spirit in the very end. The girl made it to where the boy couldn't leave, because his will is completely gone. He doesn't have one of his own anymore. He accepted her feelings at his lowest point, leaving him completely vulnerable. She knew this, and destroyed him anyway to ensure that he wouldn't lie to her anymore. His own thoughts would be hers, and vice versa. When it shows the two of them in the heart made of blood while the boy is bleeding out, it only further pushes how she's made it to where his psyche is so broken he can't leave. He's trapped in a love he never wanted, and is forced to believe that he does. The only one between the two of them that can have coherent thoughts would be the girl, and that's why she's still alive. She's there to spend time with her new toy, and since he hasn't been turned into an actual one like the others, he's still alive and she will continue to be with him until one of them actually dies. But that's just a theory, a Deco*27 theory.

I don't see anyone else doing a full explanation about the yandere side so I'll try. If you notice anything that I skipped feel free to tell me! The boy first wakes up kinda confused but not scared or angry so he might have lost his memory judging from the bandages. Then we see the girl in there with him who is the yandere. The video shows her with people in the background slowly fading away while she is trying to hold on to them. They must have been her family and/or her friends that left her in some way (death, abandonment etcetera). Then she see's the boy who she immediately falls in love with. Afraid that he would leave her as well she kidnaps him and she try's to convinces him that him staying there in the room with her alone is normal. Over time she takes care of him by going out to get food and supplies. But the girl is paranoid that he doesn't love her and is in love with someone else. The lyrics seem to point to this paranoia. The boy is a little unsure about this and wishes to see the outside. But the lyrics seem to point that he was wondering where she is and wanted to go looking for her. He opens the door but at this point he is slowly falling victim to Stockholm syndrome this is indicated by how red his hair becomes. Since he was kept in a single room and has only seen a single person since his memory loss. Looking at how many strange things outside of his room overwhelmed him causing him to have a panic attack. He wishes that she is there with him. And of course she is there and reassures him that she loves him and will save him. To him she 'kills' the 'monsters' and in his mind she's a heroine. Once she is close enough he hugs her this time unlike how she usually hugs him. His hair is completely red at this point. But the girl was already too paranoid and thinks it's too risky having him alive. She kills him thinking that he doesn't truly love her the lyrics point to that. By killing him she can keep him to herself without fear of him leaving.

I usually agree with the theories on here but not the endings. I personally don't think he is a victim of Stockholm syndrome, I think it's more of how the girl wished about what happened. When he is kneeling there he looks down, that isn't a face of happiness, no matter what you say you really can't convinced me that he is happy, it looks more like anger. The "monsters" were probably people trying to help him (this is the pov of a yandere so them being called "monsters" makes sense), so when he has probably lost everything or feels like he has nothing to lose (I feel like that's what happened because when he woke up he seemed to be depressed and I mean to the point where you are emotionless) he runs at her to fight back. But in the girls messed up mind she replaces it with him hugging her instead (this points out to be true with the glitch effect), that's why the tone changed and why he still didn't look happy. That's why he got stabbed and the lyrics "You never were gonna tell me dear" plays, further more pushing the fact that she knew that she wasn't hugged Though that's just an ending that makes more sense in my head so take it with a grain of salt

One of the parts I'm still trying to figure out is the "Hey are you around? When are you coming home?" part I don't know who is saying it and to who. I imagine that it's the people wondering those questions after the boy disappeared/was kidnapped. I also wonder about the hug part I've seen other theories below theorize that it was all imagined in the girl's head and that he was actual trying to attack her. I also noticed how after she shot the "shadows" it turned into shapes such as an airplane, I think that that was either the girl envisioning her future with the boy, or the boy seeing his future be shot/destroyed after realizing that he's probably not going to escape soon.

Maybe I'm thinking about this too much but I feel like the bandages on the red haired guy could resemble how much the blue haired girl has hurt him. At 0:44 it shows him with someone else and he doesn't have the bandages there. I'm assuming that part is showing the start of the relationship / before they got in a relationship btw!! This song really does remind me of an abusive relationship and a obsessed person who can’s seem to let go. The ending of it where the girl stabbed the boy in the lyrics it said “You never where gonna tell me dear? In that case, you can just rot away.” I am sure what that meant is because he never said he loved her back that is the reason why she killed him also their was the part where she said “I’ll never let you go my dear.” Showing that she may have regret her decision. Honestly the characters in the video this was toxic since the start also the reason why she seemed to protect him is that he could have been dealing with large issues himself only for her to kill and betray him. Just remember everyone please please! Stay safe especially in relationships with the people you love.
